A Little help & opinions

We are planning our first trip to the Fort next May. Our plan is to come in on tuesday, the day right after Memorial Day. We are going to stay Tuesday thru Tuesday. Will the Fort be cleared out well enough on that Tuesday so we could get our sites a little early. We will be traveling with my parents and would like to be side by side. Thankies.

I was just there this year over Memorial Day weekend. I checked in on Sat. at 12 and my requested site was not available, so I told them to give me whatever was ready. We checked out the Tuesday after Memorial Day. I was hopping everyone would leave by noon on Memorial day which is why added an extra day. Some areas and loops were a little more emptier on the holiday (like the Premium sites), but the pool was still packed etc. And our loop (1900) stayed full the entire time with maybe only one or two sites empty. By Tuesday morning however it all emptied out. We stayed longer than we should have, but it was the first time since they put the new slide in at the pool that DH and I had been there that we could actually use the pool and slide without the pool being crowded and full of kids. We probably should have taken another vacation day and checked out on Wednesday instead. So, I think you checking in on Tuesday and staying after that will be a WHOLE heck of alot more peaceful and less crowded than coming in the day before. I mean keep in mind the kids are out of school in most places by then so it won't be empty, but you won't have to deal with the holiday crowds at the Fort either.

Next stop for us, Labor Day weekend. Checking in Friday (late in the afternoon) and staying through Wed. as of right now anyway. LOL!

Tuesday will certainly be slower then Monday. Enjoy the Fort.

You can "link" your reservations so you can be side by side.

Each of you should get the reservation number of the other and call the ressie line and request a link. That is the most you can do to get side by side or across from each other.

What fun it would be to share the Fort with another family!

You are picking a great time to go. We were just there. Checked in the Saturday before Memorial Day and stayed 9 days. We arrived at 1pm on Saturday and had a site assigned in the loop I requested. Through the weekend and Monday, the fort was pretty full. Tuesday it cleared out. I went ooping on my bike with my son Wednesday morning. Most of the loop[s were almost half empty. They didn't start filling back up until Friday.

The weather was also great. Best we have had EVER at WDW. High around 90, low humidity. By 5 or 6 in the evening, it was great for just hanging around and relaxing.

When we had multiple campsites before we had our reservations linked and also sent in a site request 5 days prior to arrival asking to be next to each other. We have never been disappointed. Good luck.
