OK~DH and I are going in July 08 for our 10th anniversary. I am thinking of getting a Disney gift card at the Disney Store, and just adding to it here and there for our trip. Anyone else done this? Also, is there a list somewhere (here or some where else) of places at WDW that accept the Disney gift card??? Thanks!!!

Not sure about the Gift Cards, but we get disney dollars. We have used them to pay for our Disney room, food, souvies. I ask for them for by Bday, anniversary, etc.

It's really silly, since they are a $ for $ exchange, but for whatever reason I feel like I can splurge a little when I have saved these.

The only thing I wish is they would be in denominations of more than $10.00. When we get to our hotel, we put them on our room key and use it for all of the spending so we do not have to carry around a wad of disney dollars.

Another good way to earn "free" money to spend at WDW is to get the VISA Disney card and save up your reward dollars. We usually have $2-300 saved up in a year and can then spend them most anywhere in the Worlds. You're charging anyway, mightaswell earn something from it.
We also purchase the Disney Dining Experience card: 20% off the entire meal ticket at a huge array of dining establishments and resorts. We just returned and saved another $250 that way. Hey--it all adds up:cool1:

we save the Disney Dollars too. The only catch is our closest store is an hour away, so I don't get to go often. I have already made our mousekeeping envelopes and stuffed them plus saving envelopes of Disney Dollars .

You can use a Disney gift card in any Disney park, resort, Disney Store and DCL. It's very convenient and even if you don't have a nearby Dis store you can buy them online with free shipping. They make great stocking stuffers. :goodvibes

DH told me yesterday that he had just rather me put away cash in an envelope. :confused3 MEN! He thinks he HAS to have cash on him. I think I will do both, that way all the money I put on the DGC will be like "surprise" money. ;) I will just decorate the envelope to look Disney, too~I feel like a kid again, lol. :woohoo:

I thought about the Disney Visa, and using it for school and Christmas shopping to get the points and pay it off monthly, but we made a promise to each other of NO MORE CREDIT CARDS, so I didn't even mention that to him. BUT, it was a good suggestion...thanks, pp!
