Going through an old scrapbook I found a ticket called a "3 day passport" to Disney World, dated June 6th 1980. Can anyone guess the face value? (prices have gone up!)

If unused, it has approximately $160.00 in admission value today, namely three days, provided you do an even exchange for a pass that fits in the turnstiles and fastpass machines.

If you have such a ticket and wish to use it, ask for it back as a souvenir, they will stamp "void" on it after issuing a modern ticket in its place.

I was going to guess it sold for about $35. back then since I got one as a timeshare condo prize and $35. was about the value of such prizes given out back then.

It's park admission value is the remaining number of days.
It's cash value is significantly less.

The CMs who perform such transactions are accountable for every ticket they exchange. As a general rule, you will not be able to keep the old ticket as a souvenir. Bring a photo ID and the CM may be able to make an exception, but no guarantees.

the face value was $18.25 for three days. So with an average of $6 a day, that is a $49 increase in 24 years. I fthis trend continues.... my kids will pay well over $100 a day by the time they are my age!!!!

 holy cow!!! lol. Too bad the prices aren't like they were back then, or we'd be going ALOT more then we do now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!::yes::

Hey don't forget that Disney World consisted of Magic Kingdom at the time with Epcot being built or fairly new. We went in 1979 and Epcot was only in construction. And not the Epcot we know today...fewer attractions and less countries.
No night life at all around WDW except maybe a lounge in the hotel you stayed at. The park closed early as well.
When it was just the MK, 2-3 days was all you ever wanted and then you did something else in central Florida with the rest of your time.
