A little disappointed with new Little Mermaid ride....

We rode on 12/4 and noticed one of the eyes was not lit up on Flotsam, thought it was wierd because the grand opening was about to happen. We rode again on 12/11 and the same eye was still burnt out. Not a real big deal but in the past this kind of thing would have been addressed right away.

Overall we were dissappointed in the ride. We were hoping it would be much more immersive.

If I'm not mistaken, that's totally normal. Both Flotsam and Jetsam are supposed to have only one eye each that lights up, like in the animated movie.

Nope, both of their eyes light up in the movie, they are just odd colored, one eye is yellow and one is white.

Well, I thought it was cute. It made me smile. No "E ticket", but I don't think all new attractions need to be. Very traditional dark ride-esque.

Couldn't agree more. Especially since it is in Fantasyland, the one area dedicated to small children. My "child" (26 yrs old!) and I rode it twice this past Sunday while attending MVMCP and we will ride it again and again just like we do Peter Pan.
