Ok on saturday morning at 2:30am the whole household, except my little brother Daniel, was woken up to the sound of someone banging on our door. When we all went downstairs it turns out it's our next door neighbour coming to tell us our skip is on fire, and low and behold there behind her is our skip blazing.
Well the reason we have a skip outside our house is because we are having our loft converted. The skip is full of junk like our old fire alarms and cement and stuff but the builders haven't got rid of it because they haven't finished the job but didnt want to hire a new one for when they finish it off so they left it sitting outside our house.
So we called the fire brigade and Gary decides to try and keep the fire at bay and so begins to get buckets of water and throwing them on the fire but everytime he runs back to get some more water the fire just returns. It was a nightmare. The fire brigade finally turned up and managed to put the fire out but in the process also had to fill the entire skip with water. One of the firemen asked us if we knew who started it but none of us did so he went to go and look around the little part of our estate to see if anyone was around. the fire had abviously been going for a while though because it was huge and so we doubted there would be anyone around at that time.
Anyways everything if fine and my mum is trying to get hold of George our project manager to get him to get the skip company to come and collect the skip because we don't want it happening again.
The problem is i am too scared to sleep on a night because i am so scared it is going to happen again. I have such a huge fear of fire and it really scares me. Last night i was constantly woken up by nightmares and frequently hadt to check out of the window to check it was ok. I don't know what to do!!!
