A little Chicago info needed

Here is our schedule in Chicago this weekend:
1) bus drops us off at Water Tower Place, 10:30
2) bus picks us up at the RainForest Cafe at 1:15, takes us to the theatre for Wicked

Now my questions--is RFC in the water tower place complex? If not, how long does it take to get to RFC? Is Water Tower Place a mall, or just a street with a lot of stores on it? Are there any affordable stores? And if we only have a pickup time for RFC, how long does it take to eat in there? (if lunch is paid for--if not, I'll find somewhere cheaper). I remember eating at RFC at Disney in 02 and it took a while.

Water tower place is a mall. It is all indoors and since it is on Michigan avenue most of the stores are a little on the high end side from what I recall. It is a multilevel mall, not a spread out one like in the suburbs.

Rainforest cafe is not in the mall. I think it is about 10 blocks away. Depending on how much you like to walk, you may want to consider a cab.

Water Towere Place is a really neat mall to window shop in but pretty pricey to actually shop. It is vertical, 6 or 7 floors with neat glass elevators. We usually take the elevator to the top and then work our way down.

RFC is at 605 N Clark St, Chicago, 60610, about .7 miles from WTP. On a Sat, if you don't have ressies, you better be there at open or you will wait and it can be expensive.

IMHO, I wouldn't chance it before the theater, you sure don't want to risk missing the curtain. There are places to eat in WTP and all up and down Michigan Ave and Clark St. so you shouldn't have any toruble finding lunch.

Make sure you bring a jacket, it may be chilly on Sat. Have fun!

Thanks guys. I just got a confirmation from the choir director that we are meeting for lunch at noon at RFC and have reservations. That doesn't leave much shopping time, but in an expensive mall that's OK! I'll just buy a RFC magnet and a "Wicked" shirt.
