A Little Assistance

I have 4 nights staying at AKL (APR 27-APR 30), but we had to change our travel plans because something came up at work so we had to leave earlier than expected. I have been trying and trying to get a room somewhere with a DW property but have had zero luck for the 24, 25, and 26. I have almost killed my eyes just trying to get a room on the DW website and NO LUCK! I have called and called too and get the same result.

I have never stayed off property and don't have one clue where to stay outside of the DW properties. Any suggestions on hotels would be outstanding! Thanks for any help....

Did you try anything in the Downtown Disney area? Here's a couple of threads with reviews:

Another consideration as to where you stay is whether you have a car or not and if not how will you get to Disney. If you stay in one of the DTD hotel that's within walking distance to DTD you can use the Disney buses. The hotels have their own shuttles but they may not have convenient schedules.
There's a million hotels in the area and everyone has their favorite. There's also places like Windsor Hills and other subdivisions with condos and townhouse. A lot depends on whether you have a vehicle to get you to the parks.

This is the end of school vacation week for most New England schools so everything is booked.

I've stayed off property a number of times and there are some nice resorts close to DTD. I like the Sheraton Safari, but other nice resorts close to WDW include the Caribe Royale and Gaylord Palms.

Thanks for the responses! I won't have a car for the trip, but know a ton of those places have buses.

I actually just got two nights added to AKL for the 25th and 26th, so know I have the April 25th-May 1st. Very excited about that!

All the DTD hotels are blocked off for the 24th and it seems like if I want to stay there I might just have to keep harrassing people.


Is there anything close to AK since we will be there the rest of the nights? and is there any other hotels that offer free airport transportation?

What about staying near the airport the 1st night, then you can get ME to AKL?? Or maybe rent a car for 1 day, then you can stay whereever the 1st night and drive yourself to AKL for the rest of the trip. National and Alamo have dropoff locations at the Dolphin and the Car Care Center near MK.

The closest off property hotels near AKL are down on 192. Sherberth Rd. runs between the 2. I believe the Radisson Worldgate is one of the closest...

Can't give you any tips on AKL as I've never stayed there...

Yes, keep trying for the 24th. Disney's cancellation policy is 5 days out so there might be more openings tomorrow (the 19th).

did you check on the AKV as well? they are in the same building.
