Hi there, I am not new to Disney but I am new to these boards and from what I can tell you appear to be a great bunch. I am taking my third trip to WDW in May and my parents are coming along (I'm 32). The last time we were there I took my parents to lunch at Coral Seas which is unusual for us. We never have sit down meals at the parks but this time, I planned for a nice lunch. This time, I want to do something nice, either a nice restaurant (not fancy, just nice), or an activity that would be out of the normal experience. Does anyone have any suggestions. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know what you have done in the parks or at the resorts that are not the usual park experience. Thanks in advance!

How about the Ice Cream Social in the Land? You can ride Soarin', then at 3:00 you can head to the Garden Grill (1 floor up). It a character greet too, and it is about $6 each, I think.

i personally love cinderella's royal table restuarant in cinderella's castle at the magic kingdom for lunch or dinner, me & my fiance eat there everytime its very romantic & has great food (at dinner request a window seat to watch the wishes fireworks) we've also dined there with my parents on a wdw trip which they also enjoyed.

another suggestion is any of the epcot world showcase restaurants, you cant go wrong with their great food & decor. i personally like beirgarten (germany) with its german entertainment, brats, spaetzle, pretzels, forest cake & tall beer, le origanel alfredos (italy) which has homemade fetticine alfredo & good wine selection, le cellier steakhouse (canada) has a great filet mignon, salmon & canadian bacon cheddar soup, ask for a seat near the fireplace, san angel inn (inside mexico pryamid) my fiance loves their fajitas & margatiras, les chefs de france steak, quiche & crepes....the list goes on & on.

fyi- if you eat at lunch at the signature / casual sit down restaurants the menus are cheapier than dinner. call 407-wdw-dine (939-3463) to make a ps (priority seating)

we're getting married at wdw with our families next year so i cant wait to go! enjoy your trip!
