This is my first post on the boards. I have been reading frequently while planning my May 2-9 trip and am looking for a little help.

My son has decided that his number one must do on our trip is to meet Hiro and Baymax. We have a TSM FastPass for 10:05-11:05 on May 3. Should ride TSM before or after the meet and greet? I have been to DHS before but I am not remembering where the meet and greet is in reference to where TSM is?

Thanks for any help with this. We don't want to spend a huge amount of time waiting in line for meet and greets. We have FP's/character meals for all the rest of the characters we want to knock out. It is a recommended day for DHS but I know this is now a popular attraction.

Should get to the park fairly early and head to meet the Baymax characters. I believe the meet for them is over near the animation academy area. To the right side of the park by the Little Mermaid show.

TSM is behind the Chinese theater. Their not too far of a distance apart.

I can't see the wait for the meet and greet to be too long. You'll have more than enough time to do that then head for your fast pass

Baymax comes out at 10:30 - you DO want to line up by 10 am to meet them. The line can get very long - meeting them during the first set will give you the shortest wait. Meet Baymax (in the Animation building over near Little Mermaid and Disney Jr) and then after you exit the courtyard (Little Mermaid on your right) turn right and walk down to Pixar Place - TSM will be on your right. It is a fairly short walk.

I have read that the waits can be long for Baymax and Hiro. I don't know exactly how long you would have to wait if you got in line before they started. I read somewhere that Baymax has to take breaks every 15 minutes to recharge batteries. That means if you are not some of the first people in line, then you could easily have a wait of 30+ minutes. I have read anecdotal reports of waits of a minimum of one hour for people getting in line around 4 or 5pm. Going at a slower time of year may help. Can you move your TSMM FP+? Or could someone wait for Baymax while others ride TSMM?

I was there during Easter week. Got in line at 9:55 and was done at 10:50. So you're calling it a little close. If you want to be sure you're out in time, you need to be by the very front of the line. I'd recommend getting in line at 9:40. The good news is its air conditioned in there and your son can play with stuff while you wait.
Or you can tough it out after TSMM ... They should let you on at 10, you'll be on line before the meet starts .... If you search the topic, you'll find my minute by minute live report

Thank you for the responses! We have another FP for TSM later in the week before seeing Fantasmic! so if we were to miss it, it might be ok. I didn't think about looking to switch the time. I may look into that!

I'd just try to move your FP. There really isn't a way to meet him without waiting for close to an hour, since the meet and greet doesn't start until 10:30, and people start lining up before 10. We just went in the middle of the afternoon and I don't think we waited much longer than an hour.

Does he actually have to "meet" the characters? Or, would just seeing them be enough? For my kids, some characters were must meet and get photo, and others were nice to see but not worth waiting to meet. I'd ask your son.

I was there on Sunday, 4/19, to meet Hiro & Baymax. I had a 9:10-10:10 FP for TSM. Was there for rope drop, they let us into the park around 8:45. I went straight to TSM, rode standby with a very short wait, immediately got into the FP+ line for my 2nd ride. Walked from there over to the Animation building. Got to the BH6 meet area around 9:35 and was the 4th party in line. They kept us lined up outside the inner queue area until about 10 am, then moved us into the inner queue behind the set. The characters came out at 10:30, and I was done about 10:40-10:45.

I'm in the camp that says I would see if you could move your TSM FP. It may sound crazy to be there almost an hour before the characters come out, but I'm glad I did it that way.
