a liitle confused on when to book

Howdy everyone,

I'm a new owner at SSR and I plan to go 11/6/04-11/13/04. My question is do I book on 12/12/03 or will I have to wait until 12/15/03 to book my trip and is MS closed on the weekends?

If your date falls on the weekend, you have to wait until the following Monday, because as you said, MS is closed on the weekend.

Or you can book day by day. Which you might want to do. Let MS know you are calling day by day. Call 12/8 for your first two days, etc.

If you are not sure if you need to call day by day, call on Day 1 of the ressie and ask MS how busy it is looking and if you need to call day by day - you should get a solid answer - if you do need to call day by day make sure you let them know (as D&B stated) and they will keep the ressie "open" so you do not get multiple confirmations - on the "last" day you call make sure you let MS know so they can "close" and book the ressie

If you just want to book the entire vacation with just one call, then you will call on Monday, Dec 15th.

If you want to book day by day, then your calls are:

Mon, Dec 8th for your 11/6 and 11/7 dates
Tue Dec 9th for your 11/8 date
Wed Dec 10th for your 11/9 date
Thurs Dec 11th for your 11/10 date
Fri Dec 12th for your 11/11 date
Mon Dec 15th for your 11/12 and 11/13 dates

MS is closed on weekends and also closed on the following holidays in 2004:

Jan 1, New Years
MLK's Birthday Jan 19
Memorial Day, May 31st
Independence Day, July 4th
Labor Day, Sep 6th
Thanksgiving Day, Nov 25th
Christmas, Dec 25th

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that you do not need to call day-by-day at 11 months to get your reservation. There will be about 200 SSR rooms available by next November--more than at VWL and nearly as many as BCV. The odds of all 200 rooms being reserved for the same dates you want, exactly at 11 months for a non-holiday period are...ahem...remote.

Call on the 15th and you'll be fine. If not, I'm available for a public flogging.

I too doubt you need to call day by day. It would depend on what size accommodations you are trying for. If it is a studio or GV, maybe.
