There must a story behind this! Last

My Dad decided to make up with my sister, which is great. At the last minute, they decided to move Thanksgiving over to her house (instead of doing them separately). Xander is allergic to her dogs. That excluded Xander and my husband from going there. Then, they decided to move the time from 3:30 to 6, which excluded Connor and me from going over there. They knew I already agreed to do dinner at my FILs and I was not going to cancel last minute, because they changed the plans. I am not sure why the time was moved but my Dad for irritated when I tried to ask, so I dropped it. It was the first Thanksgiving in my life that I missed seeing my Dad. It was a little hard on me, but I am grateful my family is no longer fighting.

Therefore, I did not see my family at all yesterday. We bought a HoneyBaked Ham for each of the three parties. We did not attend mine, so we have a full nearly 10 pound ham that we never used.

I'm really sorry that you never got to be with your Dad; that seems to be the main reason we celebrate Thanksgiving at least in our family - to be together! But glad to hear about your sister and your Dad. I remember when we were torn between both sides of the family and all the scheduling that holidays required back then.

Hopefully next year will be a different story.

I am pretty much all alone here at work today with nothing special to do so I have been DISsing for hours; can't wait to leave work today!

Enjoy the ham and let's hope the rest of the holidays this year go a little smoother.

You can always freeze some of the ham for later.

We recently made ham salad from a baked ham and then toasted chibatta (sp?) bread for sandwiches. Delicious!

Thanks everyone. It is good that my family is doing better. I just hope my sister can keep herself out of trouble and not blame everyone else for her problems, so it does not happen again.

Hopefully. I will get to see everyone for Christmas.

I hope it works out for Christmas for you Kim. We love our family but sometimes they do drive us crazy.

You can always give them the ham for Christmas. :thumbsup2

There will not be any ham left by Christmas. I had six pieces today (two at each meal). Crap had some too.

If I go for Christmas, I will order another one. I am getting a smaller one next time though. The big ones are way too hard to finish.
