I was once told something very profound online. "It's not all about YOU, glitterkittyy"
Wise words, wise words.
I still think it is all about me, though.
Lol, Dis-zilla.

and so did the kid and his mom, I believe they were there first. If I didn't want to sit by someone, I wouldn't sit by them. Little kids don't sit still and they talk to people. That is a kid for craps sake. If you know you don't like kids, DON'T SIT BY THEM...HE was there first!!
They can each decide where they want to sit. But the child should not have touched someone else's belongings. Period. And when he did, the mother should have told him not to do that. Yes kids are kids, but you know what, some do sit still and some don't talk to strangers. And who cares if he was there first. The lady should not have to worry about a kid at the next table. She was there to eat her damn big mac and be done with it.

Uhhh, mods a swear word, I got introuble for that before too. Watch, she won't.
I guess its okay if I was eating and someone sat down beside me and their purse strap fell on my silverwareTell me, what would you do? What would you say? I think people are speaking from mighty high horses here!
What I meant is every parent has been in the situation where there kid was acting up in a public place, it happens, I am sure your child wasn't the first on the disboard to act up at a store, WalMart or otherwhise, and s/he wont be the last.

I appreciate that thought, but than why wasn't it treated like that and why is it being joked about? I have seen many out of control kids at walmarts and I give the eyeroll but would never say anything letalone what was said to me. I expected some words of comfort and support here, instead I was jumped on. Is this not a supportive site. Maybe I should go and read the rules and description. If its not listed as supportive than I guess my bad![]()

Perhaps you forgot about the going around the word filter rule as well?
Since we are pointing out things to the mods and all.
Nah, I might have to sit next to a kid.
I think you are missing that there were posters who DID give you comfort and support. It isn't listed as supportive but rather with different opinions.
Besides, I thought, according to your posts here that you were not going to be back?
Which is worse...a kid or sitting next to Jennasis with the pyrotechnic bowel issues.
My kids sit still and don't talk to strangers (or touch their things) when we are eating out. They aren't perfect, nor are they snowflakes (just for the record) but they don't mess around when we are eating out, and I can barely get them to talk to strangers even when I want them to (in specific circumstances). The 'kids will be kids' mentality is not always the best way to think about things.
