Have you ever tried to make a reservation for Palo on the Disney Ships? It is jsut that, a restruraunt in which no one under 18 is allowed (no matter how much mom and dad beg to be allowed to bring in their 17 year old snowflakes). People are up at midnight booking frantically--much like getting a table at Cinderella's castle for breakfast.

Actually, I like kids, I have no issues dining with well behaved ones and their well behaved parents at all

They do have those. If anyone wants to be child free they can choose to dine there instead of a restaurant that markets directly to children via free toys (a problem for a whole different thread).

There are also restaurants that allow children but the patrons are spread further apart so the chance of an interaction with a stranger, at least while eating, are much lower.

If you go to Biergarden at Epcot you will be sat with other families, if you don't want to do that don't go there. Simple.

As far as the groceries, that happened to me once! The store just wheeled the groceries into their freezer and I returned within the hour to pay for them!!!

Wow, OP - I'm impressed you came back. I think I would have thought my thread had taken a terrible turn if I saw it had grown this much, and it might have scared me off.

While I don't think that there was anything wrong with the lady choosing to sit at the table next to yours, and I disagree that she was rude (unless she was speaking in a really hateful tone) I don't think you necessarily sound like a Snowflake parent, either. We all have days when our kids do things they shouldn't, and it's how we deal with it that matters. I'm glad that nothing other than the credit card thing happened on your outing today. (But yuck! I hate it when credit cards malfunction. It can throw everything off when you have to go back to the store to pay. Sorry that happened to you!)

I'm not sure how others interpretted you post but I totally didn't take your post to mean that you were looking to buy a pet -- but rather you took your son to look at the animals. I often bring my 3 year old to Pet Smart to look at the fish, birds, etc. on a rainy day....

That's always been one of my greatest fears as I've sat there waiting for my purchases to clear on my credit card or bank card. I hope you were able to get everything straightened out with a minimum amount of pain.

Gosh, don't you hate it when people put their shopping cart of groceries on hold?

I was in the grocery store the other day. There was a woman who had literally everything I wanted in her grocery cart. I, of course, lingered around waiting for her to turn her back so I could take her cart and check out, my shopping complete in an instant.

Wouldn't you know it! She discovered she didn't have her credit card and asked one of the managers if they could hold her cart for her! They took it back where I did not have access to it, and I had to do my own shopping!

Really, OP, you are the limit! Now this thread will hit 600!
