Okay, we always book packages but this time we're doing things separately. What's your best bet for tickets? I know there's not generally much in the way of discounts, but any little bit saved can be spent in the parks. Currently I'm seeing 3 day park hoppers at $139. Can anyone beat that?

That looks like either far from the final price, or a scam.

$139 is the current price for the SoCal 3-day one-park-day tickets, not 3-day hoppers (and I always recommend getting hoppers).
To buy them, you must be a SoCal resident and they are only valid through Sept. 5th.

If you're a Costco member (or know someone who is) and/or is a So Cal resident, you can get 4 day park hoppers with a $50 gift card for $199.

Do you have to be a So Cal resident to use the tickets? When do they expire?

Do they check at costco? I'm going to be in San Diego next month and DL in December. Would I be able to buy them next month for my Dec. trip?

We purchased ours from Costco online (we don't live in California) and have been told by a Disneyland CM that we don't need ID at the gate. But they do expire in August....maybe they will have another deal in time for your trip?

If you are military, you can get 3 day park hopper tickets for $99! My dad is retired navy and we are doing that. I'm a little sad that the 4 day tickets are like $80 more. Three days doesn't seem like enough time!

Any chance you can do your shopping at Downtown Disney, and maybe do a character or other meal at one of the hotels? That can help stretch out your visit without having to pay for an extra day.

(In the unlikely event you're going at Halloweentime you could buy tickets for the party and use them to get into DL from 3-11 or 4-12, depending on the day.)
