My DD10 would like Uggs for Christmas but is fine with a knock off. I'm just having a hard time spending $140 for boots she'll grow out of before next winter. It's not completely out of the question as I think she will get a lot off use out of them.

I looked at Bear Paws and she really liked them until we realized that she would have to order a women's size. The women's boots are taller (8" versus the kids styles at 6").

Anyone know of another brand that is of reasonable quality but more in $60 to $70 range of "Ugg like" boots?

If it makes a difference, I think she would wear an Uggs Big Kids size 5... which I'm guessing is about a women's 5????

My daughter picked up a pair of Womens (they make kids as well) bjorndal ugg knock offs this past weekend. they're on sale at Rack Room shoes if you have them near you, for only $40 (kids). They seem to be very high quality, closest to Uggs that I've seen (she's had a few pairs of knock offs as she needs new ones each year since she's growing still).

If you have a Costco membership, they have Kirkland Brand (house brand) Ugg-style boots that look pretty decent. I think they're $50 or so. I've read good reviews of them. In the past, they've had kids sizes as well.

I am a Costco member! I'll look this weekend...
Thanks

Do you know if either of those brands have real wool fur inside? Thanks!

Costco boots used to be shearling lined. And some Emus are. You do not want merino wool lined.

If you have a Bon Ton near you they are advertising some Emus for $35 for Black Friday but I'm not sure about the details.

My niece was ridiculed for wearing " FUGGS" or " Fake Uggs" . I told her to get a job and buy herself some real ones. :) My sister wears the ones from Costco.

My DD10 has 2 pairs of Emus and loves them. She didn't want Uggs, said "everyone has them, I want to be different". So my brother's GF bought her a pair of Emus and she was hooked. Tan with pink butterflies. Then she got plain brown. Now she wants the short purple ones. They are just as comfortable as Uggs, and wear just as well (and she wears them constantly!). I think her first pair was from Macy's, so you may be able to get a deal on Friday. Good luck!

I prefer Emus to Uggs because they have better arch support.

My daughter has a pair of Bear Paws that seem to be nice and she really likes them. We got them at Macy's. Had a coupon for 20% off and total was $55 after the coupon.

I have a knock-off pair that I bought from Target a couple years ago for $25 and they are in still good shape. I don't like wearing animal fur so I'm glad the pair I bought are fur free.
They have all sizes and colors from little baby girls to adult women.

Love the Costco ones! They are sherling on the inside and I actually think they feel more plush than my real UGGs.

The fake brands don't hold up and are uncomfortable. Also keep in mind that women's sizes up to size 8 will fit a kids ugg. My daughter is 16 and can wear the kids size 6 ugg! She has had the fake ones and nothing compares for comfort as the real deal - and they wear and wear and wear!

holy crap! I wouldn't even spend the 60-70 dollars on boots!

I find mine for 20-40 dollars when they're on sale at payless or famous footwear.

But I'm not out for brand names or knock offs----- just warm durable boots

Definitely look into Costco Fuggs! My DD has a pair from last year that she still wears this year. I also bought her a pair of Bear Paw Baily Button Fuggs this year from Famous Footwear.

I bought my sister a pair of the Bear Paw Emma short boots from Famous Footwear and she loves them. They're holding up well, so far, and she especially likes how warm they are (she's in Omaha but from Los Angeles, LOL).

I have a black pair of Bear Paws that I got at the Shoe Dept. a few years ago and I love them. Good support, warm. I just ordered myself these from Amazon for about $35. Same style, just in chocolate. They hit my leg at about mid-calf. I have a pair of chocolate ones from Target, but they are taller and I don't like them that tall and they aren't comfy at all. These should be here today :)

I have a pair of Bear Paws, and they have lasted 2-3 years and are still in good shape! That being said, I don't wear them every day. But they are cozy and comfortable :)

My DD's bear paws just didn't last - but $140-150 for boots isn't bad in my opinion. She usually can get 2 years out of them (and they still look good after 2 years but she gets sick of them and wants something new).
