With The Good Dinosaur less than a month away, Disney/Pixar has started marketing Sanjay's Super Team - the short that will play in front of the movie. In Sanjay’s Super Team, Director Sanjay Patel displays his personal story about his childhood when he was caught between his father’s deep reverence for Hinduism and his own love of western culture, particularly super hero cartoons. (You can see a new poster and video clip here: http://www.thedisneymoviereview.com/sanjays-super-team-clip-and-poster-are-marvelous-to-behold/)

From what I can find, this is Disney's first dip into religion, which, to me, is a huge deal. I LOVE that Disney/Pixar is being more diverse and am fascinated they are diving into one of the big three you don't talk about (Politics, Money and Religion). However, I am not Hindu and honestly don't know a ton about Hinduism. I don't even know if my title should be "A Hindi's Thoughts..." because I saw that somewhere online but it looked weird to me. So long story short, I really want to know what Hindu people think of Sanjay's Super Team. What do you think of the concept? Are you offended that Disney/Pixar could (will) make toy action figures out of your gods? Are you honored that Disney/Pixar chose Hinduism as it's first religious film? I mean, people who aren't Hindu can obviously weigh in too. Just really interested to read what people think about this.
