DVC'ers: What are you thankful for? I know that this could go on the main community board, but I really want to hear instead from we who populate the DVC boards.

I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for good friends and acquaintances here on the DIS!

to be able to have lovely vacations every year that other people can only dream about having....

family and friends (plus pets!!!) are on the list, too.

Sometimes we just have to sit back and reflect on just how blessed our lives really are. We just take too much for granted.

I guess the biggie this year is we got a great new DIL. Kind of like the finishing touches to raising our oldest DS. DW & I sorta look at his life and go "Ahhh, job well done" (yeah, we pat each other on the back every now and then).

Hopefully when we do this type thread again in a couple years we'll be giving thanks for our first grandchild.

So many things!!!! My wonderful DH, my beautiful DD, friends, family, DVC, and all the other blessings that have come my way. I truly have a great deal to be thankful for!

I"m thankful for the following (in no particular order!!)--

-loving, healthy family
-great job where I'm happy and am blessed to be able to travel for free to visit my favorite place on Earth
-the best husband that anyone could hope to share their life with
-my health
-my faith
-my 16-year old basset hound
-my country and the men and women that protect our precious freedoms

....and all the blessed things that I get to wake up and see, hear, smell, taste, and experience each and every day!!!

Doctor P--thanks for a great thread....and I'm wishin', and hopin', and prayin' that your professional life improves so that you can spend more precious time with your family and enjoy the moments that you spend at work!

I am SO thankful for my GORGEOUS three daughters!!!! They truly are the lights of my life! And, I'm very thankful for DVC which makes it the only way possible for me to take them on wonderful vacations that we can spend time with each other in "the happiest place on earth"! :teeth:

I'm also very thankful for wonderful friends and family. And I guess I should be thankful for my job that allows me to pay for these great trips we take! :sunny:

I can't name everything I am thankful for, but here are a few of them:

My loving husband
My children: DD, DS, DDIL, DD, DSIL
My granddaughter
My faith
My extended family
My job and my husband's job
My friends
My church
My freedoms

My biggest thank you this year is that my son will be home from his second tour of Iraq possibly by Thanksgiving. We are truly blessed to have him home again. His 2 1/2 year old daughter is ready to have her daddy home. I thank everyone on this forum and in this country that continually pray for our soliders and their families. They need all the support we can give them.

I am thankful for my DH and 2 DS. I am so thankful they are healthy, happy, and have plenty of food to eat and a warm bed to sleep in unlike so many other children in
the world now. I am thankful my side of the family will be together on Thanksgiving
Day and that we will be able to spend the
weekend with DH's side of the family. This
year there will be less of the family together, we lost DFIL in Feb. so the weekend will be difficult for all concerned but hopefully enough time has passed so we can remember the good things without too much pain.

On a happier note :D I am so thankful I get to go to WDW at least once a year for the next 50 years:cloud9:

I have had a bountiful year of thanks. I found & met my daughter that I had given up for adoption when I was 16. She is married and has three children. I hope some day that we can all go to WDW together. My son & DIL just blessed me with a grandson in Oct. I am thankful for my family & friends. I am thankful that I am able to take these wonderful vacations & enjoy all our freedoms that our troops have fought to keep for us. Bless them all and bring them all home safely.

May everyone have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Great job, Doctor P:goodvibes

I am thankful for my DH, my two DS, everyone in my family and esp. my niece, Rachel. She was in an accident Sunday night with a fatality and she was banged up but safe:sunny: I feel soooo badly for the family of the man who was killed. Our family has much to be thankful for!

Becoming a DVC member has brought a lot more happiness and laughter to our lives also::yes::

Happy Thanksgiving fellow DISers:wave:

I am thankful for my family, friends and dogs. I am also thankful that I am healthy and enjoy a warm home and food on my table everyday. I am thankful that I have health insurance and a good job that enables me to provide for my family as well as give to others who have more critical needs than I have. I am also thankful for everyone serving our country...especially my best friend's husband who is on his second round of service in Iraq.

Finally, I am thankful to have made it to week 11 in carrying our first child. God bless this baby for the next 30 weeks.

I am thankful for 4 things:

The biggest thing I'm thankful for is that DH and I, our kids and grandkids are all realatively healthy. At least no major problems.

Thankful that I have a wonderful marriage and a great relationship with kids and grandkids.

Then, I'm thankful that we are able to make so many wonderful memories through our DVC membership. Thanks, Walt.

I'm mostly thankful for my husband for his love and support, my son who is 9 for keeping things interesting and being a huge help to me when I need it most, my 4 year old daughter for bringing smiles to our faces and for her sweetness, and my 8 month old baby girl who has brought more joy than I can ever have imagined to my life.

I'm also thankful for the amazing network of friends I've found here in SC since we've moved here...and that we finally own our own home in a great neighborhood close to some of our friends.

And lastly I am thankful we are fortunate enough to be DVC members and enjoy wonderful family vacations together.

I'm sure there's more.... but that's the beginning anyway.

I am thankful for my family and friends, and my special dog, Buster. I pray for all of our troops, and ask God to bless them and their families and I thank them for their sacrifices.
