Great pic with Maleficient! That makeup job is so incredible - I can't imagine how long it takes for that CM to get ready!

She must wear some sort of prosthetic mask because her face can hardly move! The music really gets stuck in your head, doesn't it?!

Gosh my heart was in my mouth for the whole paragraph where Billy was missing - lucky for you it seems you realised he was missing before he did - phew !!!

Hope I can remember everything... I just found out that all my audio notes after Day One were either erased or never recorded in the first place!

I like that you set reasonable goals for the party, and to to do them all. If you had gone in expecting to do everything there was to do, it might have been terribly disappointing!

Yes, we did! I think setting reasonable touring goals is important for every Disney Day.... took me a long time to learn that one!

Yikes, scary about losing Billy. That happend to us too when Daniel was smaller. I was walking with him through Fantasyland, let go of his hand to get something out of my bag and it was like he disappeared into thin air! Luckily it only took a few seconds to find him but it certainly seemed a lot longer!

Yes, it's a horrible feeling. He heard me calling right away, though. (Guess I was pretty loud!)

Your title scared me - thank goodness it was a short period of time - that is the worst feeling in the world!

You really did have a good time at the party and got alot done! It's nice that you have kids old enough to understand the concept of sleeping in. Maddie's getting there, but no quite yet. That was our issue our party day - she woke up earlier than I was hoping.

Oh, Billy doesn't always sleep as late as I would like him to... especially on the weekends! He won't ever sleep much past 7:30, no matter what time he goes to bed!

Those moments when a child is "missing" are SO scary. I think we can all relate. As far as being too big to hold hands.....my 12 year old still lets me hold his hand! My 15 year old would die, but Isaiah still lets me grab his hand and hug him in public on occasion! He's my cuddle boy and I'm glad he still allows it once in a while!

Billy's "cheese" in the Wicked Queen pic is priceless!

Thanks! He was laughing a lot when the picture was taken!

He loves to hug his teachers, too. They always tell me how affectionate he is with them at school!

Whew, so glad you got your characters meets accomplished and that Billy wasn't missing for too long. That's scary!

It's that first few seconds that make your heart just stop. The girls were scared, too. We all hugged him so tight when we found him!

So sorry you "lost" Billy. I understand why he would have thought you were going to the next character. I would have been just like you, heart thumping. It was so sweet how he said he was sorry. It was great that your brother in law could get the cell charger for you.

The pictures of the kids outside of MK are adorable, especially the one with Billy in the middle. Great mojo with the bus and getting back to the resort so quickly. Your top 3 things for the party were ours too. We also sleep in after party night.

You brought up a very good point... I had been wondering if Billy would tolerate the hat and he loved it!! He also loved that he and his daddy dressed the same!

We brought a change of clothes for everyone, just in case... forgot to mention that we DID stop at the locker to pick up our stuff on the way out!!

I'm so glad Billy wasn't lost for long! That is the absolute worst feeling in the world.

I still make Eric hold hands more often than not. We lost him at Mission Space last Feb and in Dowtown Seattle a year ago Thanksgiving. Until I can get him out of his own head, he will be holding hands for a while!

It does help peace of mind knowing that at least they know the phone number, resort and that kind of information but oh, that sinking feeling!

I think you are too hard on yourself with the newbie mistakes. It looks like you had a wonderful wonderful time, you can see it in the pictures and I am very glad you got to see the Evil Queen!

Good thing you remembered you had stuff in the locker, we forgot ours once, what a pain!

Brook, we do own at SSR!

We stayed there for our very first DVC vacation in 2005... the resort wasn't even completed yet... lots of construction going on.

I wanted to stay at least once at every resort, but the THVs have a totally different look than the SSR villas, so it would "feel" like a different resort I guess!

Plus, I think it would be nice to experience SSR now that it is fully completed. I understand that the landscaping is gorgeous now!

I would say that THV is practically a different resort than SSR....sure it's part of it, but the theming and all is completely different.

SSRs grounds are very beautiful!! I loved the sidewalk along the riverfront. The boat ride to OKW and DTD is very enjoyable too.

We did! You can never completely relax when you've got your children with you... you can get separated so quickly!

One of the real "selling points" of SSR was the easy walk/boat ride to DTD. But now that PI is only a skeleton of it's former self, I'm a bit disappointed. Hopefully Disney has plans for PI that we don't know about yet!

Thanks, Mary! The party was so much fun... I'm sorry they don't have the Pirate & Princess parties anymore. That would have been a fun addition to your next trip!

From the title of that chapter, I'm glad that wasn't a cliffhanger!
MNSSHP looks like so much fun. DS adores the characters, though he doesn't know who some of them are. He would be very confused as to why I wanted him to take a picture with seven dudes wearing funny hats.
I'm glad you all had a good time at the party, I'm really enjoying reading the TR!
