A Halloween Adventure in Autism (11/7) Prayer Request for Catie (p.129)

Kathy - great installment!!! I really want to catch Fantasmic on our next trip! We have missed it the last 3 trips and seeing your pics makes me miss it even more!! It's just so hard to schedule a good day for DHS when there are so few Fantasmic showings. :headache:

Oh dear....I hope Billy wasn't too sick! (If you know what I mean....)

Happy Mother's Day, Kathy (belated)! I hope you had a fabulous day yesterday!

Excellent Fantasmic post! I hate riding the buses that late at night. It's the only time that I really mind Disney transportation. I'm nervous about your cliffhanger....

I've been noticing that they are throwing in more showings of Fantasmic at the last minute. Not so great for us obsessive planners, but useful if you've built some flexibility into "the operational plan!"

It's a great show... I hope you do get to see it sometime. :smickey:

It's not so bad if you're sensible and take a break mid-day. It's a bit rough waiting around for a crowded bus when you've been on your feet at the park all day! :rolleyes1

I have never seen Fantasmic, on any of our trips. I definitely need to put it on the next to-do list. I'm glad Billy enjoyed it so very much. :) It sounds like the little guy loves to dance!

I Love ,, Love, Love, Fantasmic! It is probably my favorite! Glad you got to see it and that it wasn't too crowded!

Interesting! I had heard they were building a new resort, but didn't realize it would be mainly family suites! Thanks for the article link. :thumbsup2

Yes!!!! :cool1: As a family of six, we need more afforable options. I love the section choices as well. LOVE THIS UPDATE!!! :dance3::dance3: (All six family members!)

Thanks for the link Kathy! So glad to see WDW meeting the needs of many families of 5+. One of the reasons we bought into DVC was because of the limited options for us as a family of 5.

Wonder if it is a coincidence that it's planned to open in 2012 along with the new Fantasyland. ;)

I am very stoked about this. Family of 5, boys who love Cars and Nemo, how can we go wrong?

I also find it interesting them they are theming after both. Sounds like they are movies Disney is counting will be around for the long haul.

We are very excited about the new resort! All of those movies are family favs, so we will definitely be staying there at least once.

Thanks for posting that link Kathy. That sounds right up our alley. We tried to get one of the suites at ASMu for our last vacation and they were all booked but I think the kids would love the Lion King section of this new one.

He's always dancing and singing... day and night!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the crowd level... that second showing is so helpful if you can stay a bit later! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad the link about the Art of Animation Resort was so helpful!

Don't those sound cool!!!??? I want to stay in The Lion King section! :goodvibes

I can't decide!

You're welcome! I guess the ones at ASMu were so popular they decided to expand the concept!

Seriously... these large families are the ones who need Value Resorts the most! I love the four movie themes chosen, too.

I'm sure they are expecting that to be a banner attendance year for the MK!

And it's nice that all the themes are attractive to both boys and girls! Fewer fights! ("C'mon, Mom, I don't wanna stay in a girly-princess room!")

I can't wait.

Won't it be nice not having that "ghost-town resort" across from Pop? :goodvibes

It will almost seem like four different resorts!

Disney definitely sat up and took notice of how popular those Value Family Suites are... perfect for families who aren't planning on buying into DVC but still want to go to WDW as often as possible! ;)

Katie - Thanks for posting this! I think this is GREAT! :cool1: I know so many families that fall outside of the family of 4 model and they need affordable lodging to stay on Disney property. I think this is huge for large groups and families that want to travel economically. Plus - I am so excited to know that they will finally use that space near Pop century. It's about time.

I think I got behind on your TR while I was away, but I plan to catch up on everyone's this weekend.

I also started my TR last night, so stop on by!
