A Great Surprise

Last week we were traveling around Florida with another couple. We reserved two studios at Boardwalk for 3 nights. When we went to check in we were upgraded to the Grand Villa at no extra points. (84) What a fabulous place. At close to 1800 square feet it's bigger than my house. The only problem is that our friends will expect this treatment everytime in the future. WE LOVE DVC!!!

Orlando must have been extremely busy this year for Spring Break. My cousin and her family went down last week. Here's her (non-DVC) upgrade story:

Went to the airport on Saturday for a 11am flight, the flight was
oversold and they offered us 2 RT tickets each on AirTran, if we would come back at for a 5pm flight arriving in Orlando at midnight rather than 2 pm - we explained and asked the kids and they went for it. Got to our hotel (Hard Rock - Universal) at 1am and the hotel was oversold and they had given our room away. They sent us to the Peabody (a lovely hotel, but who cares at 1am), our room was free that night. When we came back we got upgraded to a suite and club level and have been living like Rock Stars ever since... Also got upgraded to an SUV with AVIS.

I have never heard of a DVC member getting an upgrade, and what a upgrade from a studio to a GV.
