Another impressive site on SSR. Don't know if this has been posted before but if not, the creator of the site has included some very good views of SSR--almost feels like you are there, as well as an updated map, and a movie of P.I. fireworks!

Those pictures are Great!

SSR is very pretty. Still love that landscaping!

Thanks....I had never seen the PI fireworks before. A nice, quick salute to the end of another day at WDW. Very nice! :)

That was a pretty cool fire works clip.

I am now wondering if I really want to hear that at Midnight each night.
I tend to be one who is in bed by then, with plans to get up early and take advantage of early entry.

I have heard that the units are well soundproofed.
Has anyone been awake, in their unit, with the doors and windows closed, during the fireworks. If anyone has, was the noise obvious?

Eileen, I woudln't worry. My room (#1511) is very close to the pier and so far, out of the 5 nights I've been here, I was outside twice to watch the fireworks.

The other three nights I was in my room and didn't notice it was going on.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the really nice comments. Yes I'm the creater of the site mentioned. I own at SSR and mainly lurk on this board!!!!!

If you go through the main home page
,from the DVC link you can also check out my Vero Beach photos too!!!!

I'm a keen Disney nut and on the site you can also see my Tokyo Disney and Disneyland Paris Resort videos.

I'm in the process of editing my SSR and Vero videos and will be posting these soon.

Enjoy,
BarryB

We were in 1 BR 2645; I knew when the fireworks were going off, but it certainly wasn't overly loud. Very pretty view, too.

Bumping up and also would like to say hello to Barry and glad you came out of lurking! Thanks again for all the fabulous stuff!

What a lovely resort! Thank you for doing the work BarryB!

Thanks for the beautiful pictures BarryB! I didn't realize that DTD was that close...I thought there was more water between them. Thanks again!

Great photos! Thanks for posting.

Was DD the view from your room? Was it close to the theme pool? Do you remember the room #. Thanks again!

Hi queenof4hearts,

The room we had was a studio (room 2812) in building 1. It had a great view of Pleasure Island (as seen in the photos and where the fireworks video was taken from) and was a 1 minute walk to the quiet pool. We timed it one day and it took 7.5 minutes to walk to Artist Palette from the room.

Again, thanks to all for the kind comments on the site.

Enjoy,
BarryB
