somebody designed a nice little overlay so you can map out disney world in detail with google earth
here's the plugin

thanks for posting this is really cool! :thumbsup2

the weird part is, we were looking at this on google earth like two days ago! its a lot easier when everything is labeled though!

Hi there,

You need to download Google Earth before you can use the feature. You can also go to www.google.com, put in Walt Disney World in the search, and choose MAP on top. Then when the map shows up, go to the upper right & choose hybrid to see an aerial view & streets labeled.

This is the Best I have found:

Disney World from a BirdsEye view

Here are some instructions on using that site:
Use your Mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Hold down the left Mouse button in the Picture and drag the mouse around to move the view.

If you click the "X" on the Welcome window on the left it will give you a larger view.

Click on Aerial in the overlay box to be able to move to other parks and then click the Birds Eye to zoom back in. You can click on the compass settings to view from different angles.

I've spent WAYYYYYY too much time on that site. :rotfl:
65 days to go until we arrive and I'm sure I'll be spending even more time there as we get closer.

That is awesome! Last time I used that site to look at Disney, they didn't have the birds eye images yet. I love those things. You can see all four sides of the structures. Thanks... I had homework to do for a management class I'm taking, but now I'll have to spend the rest of the night playing with this.

:thumbsup2

OK, here's a question... I was looking at the POFQ pool. In the aerial, there is a large multi-slip dock shown in the Sassagoula River just north of the ferry dock. It is not there in the birdseye view, and I didn't see it two weeks ago. Did they used to rent the little boats there like at POR?

That is great! I had to get Google Earth and figure out how to work it, but I'm glad that I got to see it. Thanks.
