A great big pickle...sigh.

I agree with her and I've never been on it in my life! :rotfl:

I knew that is what you would say....and why I told you about it. :rotfl:
She refused to go on Tower of Terror after that!

So...have we gotten any closer to deciding on what type of dining plan?

And I'm sharing here a picture of a tattoo youngest son has. It was the second tattoo he got (he has three). On his way home from school today, he stopped at the tattoo place to have the writing above and below the picture added. He's over at his friends now and they all cried when they saw what he had done for their son:

Kathys50thBirthdayTrip378.jpg

Let me explain the rest of the tattoo. Obviously, it is a wrestling shoe and headgear. The VLC initials stand for the first wrestling club he wrestled for; the GWA stands for the current club that he coaches for when he is not at school (the family of the baby), the JP 88-05 is for a former teammate who drowned Mark's junior year of high school, the UD is for the University of Dubuque and the GOLD DOT is the symbol from his high school who will forever hold the closest spot to his heart (and no I don't know what the symbol means...the Gold Dot is a secret to only the high school wrestlers from the high school...not one in over 30 years has ever given up the secret).

Nicole is one smart cookie. ;)

That is a very unique and creative tattoo, (DD's boyfriend would love the wrestling shoes!) and very sweet of your son to do that for his friends. Aww.

Nope. Haven't even looked at dining. I just crawled in bed and was going to start looking stuff up now. But I don't want to!! Sigh. But I have to. We're outta here in three and a half weeks. ZOMG! :scared1:

DO NOT MAKE ME COME TO COLD, RAINY CANADA to kick your butt into actioin. You are nearing three weeks and you have to make a decision. Now, I liked the other poster's idea that you get the deluxe plan for your four nights at the CSR and the regular plan for your five nights at the Poly. That way you have the best of both worlds. :thumbsup2

Oh please do. Nobody ever comes to visit me in Canada. :( *sniff*

My actual thought at the moment is QSDP @ CSR and Deluxe DP at Poly. Ya. ::yes:: But, as you know, that could change with the wind direction. :rotfl2:

ETA; Forgot to mention that my ressies are all during the Poly stay so will need Deluxe there. Unless I change some ressies around. Or cancel some. Or...

Your idea sounds PERFECT. I think you should book it right now so that we can go on to the next pickle! :rotfl:

It does sound like a good idea. See, there is always a method to my madness. But I need to run the $$$$. Project for tomorrow. I'm just about cross-eyed right now! I can't imagine any other pickles that would come up. Wait. That's not true. I need to decide how many extra suitcases to bring. NEVER fails that we end up buying a suitcase when we are there. I have about ten different suitcases of various size. Then I have to figure out the capris thingy. No way I am going to go down a size before we go. I have no energy or willpower. I either starve myself (unintentionally) or I can't stop shoveling it in. Sigh.

You know, it is cheaper to ship stuff home to yourself than it is to pay the extra bag fee on most airlines... just a thought.

We don't get charged extra baggage fees. Woot! We are allowed two suitcases each along with a carry on and purse/brief case per person. However, our fares are beyond ridiculous.

Morning, Ladies!!!

Kathy, I'm thinking of you and the fammily that lost their baby today.:grouphug:
That was so nice of your DS to incorporate him into his tattoo.

Tracy, I think QSDP at CSR and either regular or Deluxe at Poly is a good idea. If you have a lot of 2 credit meals, do deluxe, if you only have 1 or 2, regular probably makes more sense. Also, by doing the QSDP first at CSR, you will get your refillable mugs and can use them at Poly too.

Also a tip on shippinf stuff back...we love to do this...you pay for shipping, but they refund the taxes on your purchases, so if you bought any big ticket items, ship them home. Then you don't ned to worry about them getting lost or broken.

Ok..off to take Martina to school. I'll be back later!

Thanks. As much as he aggravates me sometimes, he has a heart of gold. He spent the night with the family last night when he got home. He played with the little girls (ages 2 and 6) and just tried to keep them occupied.

I think Tracy's new idea is perfect for her! But, now with that decision made--assuming it is, we need a new pickle! :surfweb:

I have one for you....

Where should we eat for our Dec. trip?
We will be there from 12/5 to 12/8 and have the regular DDP.
Brian and Chris want Chef Mickey's for Sure. I'd love Le Cellier, but doubt I will be able to get a Dinner ressie, so I need a backup.
We are staying at WL and will be going to MK, Epcot, and DHS.

How about lunch at LeCellier if you can't get dinner? They are both very good. Andy and Nicole and some of the families have eaten at Rose & Crown and Biergarten and said both were absolutely wonderful--food, atmosphere, etc. We've heard rave reviews of Tutto and were going to go this year until we cancelled. I've also read some decent reviews of the french restaurant lately too.

I would recommend Chef Mickey's for breakfast--I think the food is much better for breakfast than dinner.

We probably will do Chef Mickey's for breakfast, if i can get it. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but it is a great way to start your day. If I get Le Cellier, that will be my Epcot ADR. Tutto is out as Brian is Italian and picky about his italian food. Isn't Remy from Rattatoullie at the French rest.? That might not be a bad one to try. With 2 little ones, the more character meals, the better!

I was thinking of maybe doing Cape May Clambake the night we go to DHS. we could do DHS during the day, run over to Cape May for Dinner, and head back to DHS after dark for Osborne Lights and hopefully Fantasmic, if we hit the right night.

I think that is what has me so confused...with just 3 nights, there is obviously NO WAY we can see everything we want to. With limited evening showtimes now, it makes it even harder to plan ADR's for a short trip.

Wow, you miss a few hours, you miss a lot!!!

Okay.. I don't know how to multiple quote so bear with me :)

1- If you blink here you will miss Salisbury too :). It is nice but SMALL.

2. I am going to HATE not going to the parks, but we did just go and we will go again next June. This is a little bonus, surprise trip. We are not telling my kids we are going AT ALL. They have NO idea. So, we booked at Beach Club and will do the dining plan and the amazing pool there and we didn't do any of those things when we were there. We needed a "down" day and we didn't take it. So, I think they will enjoy the Stormalong Bay pool. So, is it going to be hard not going to the parks, yes, but I know we will be going in June and I am looking at this trip as an extra, freebie... bonus :)

I'll let you know if I stand by that when we get back LOL

And for what it is worth Le Cellier is fabulous. We had dinner there and my youngest dd said she didn't need help cutting her steak..... soooo, I look over in a bit to see if she is okay.. and she has NO steak on her plate. Where do you think it was????? YES, on the floor. When she tried to cut it, it went flying. The waitress laughed with us and brought another to her happily. We still tease her about cutting steak :)

I tried to sell DH on a resorts only trip for just the 2 of us. We never have enough time to enjoy the pool, tour the resorts, etc. He says he can't do it without the parks. I could still feel the "Disney Magic" without setting foot in a park, I think.

I have wanted to try le cellier for years, but have never been able to get in. I was all set to try lunch this time, but looked at the menu, and it looks like the only way to get steak with the "Le Cellier Experience" (so I can get cheddar cheese soup too and still have it covered by the DDP) is to go at dinner. I'm going to try for an early dinner and hopefully get lucky. If not. I'll wait for another trip.

I am looking at this trip as a way to do some things we never take the time to do when we are there to do the parks. I feel like we should be in the parks, then.
Interestingly enough, the DVC guy we used said we would vacation differently and I do feel that way. I know for the next 50 years we have a disney vacation coming.
Of course that all sounds good. I am excited about hanging at the resort pool and just relaxing, but you know... I might have a little park envy anyway :rotfl:

Instead of hitting the "quote" button, you click the button next to it ("+). You can click this in as many posts as you want. When you are ready to post, hit the post button (not the quick reply.) All of the posts you want to quote will be in your reply box... just delete the parts you don't want to show up!

That does sound like a good plan. BUT... if it were me, I would probably invest in an AP. Since you know you will be back in June, you could use it again then. I am jealous that you will be at Storm Along Bay. One day...

Thanks for the help on quoting!

We are going to get APasses, but we just got back, just made our down payment on DVC and we want to be able to use them for two visits, so we'll get them for our June trip and then go again before they expire :) DVC members get a discount, so that helps ;)

I'll take lots of pics of the pool and try to post them for you :)

I think I would vacation much differently if I owned DVC. I wouldn't be so concerned with fitting in as much as possible, cause I know I would be back soon. I woulg go at a much slower pace with more downtime
