Oh, I think you could handle TOT. After the first dorp, it really isn't anything! Even my son's "chicken" girlfriend went on it today and she loved it so much she wanted to go on again! :rotfl2:

Uhhh... I can't even go on a ferris wheel because of the "drop". It's bad. :crazy2:

Oh my dear friend, Kathy. For those who don't know, TOT is a nightmare for some of us. So sad. Besides the wimp factor, due to the fast beyond belief drop, anyone with motion issues, is terribly effected. Truly, I was physically sick for three days.

I forgot about The Little Mermaid - I'm not a huge fan, but it's a neat experience. Every time I do it, it's because someone else wants to, but I'm never sorry..the lines can be awful - grab a fast pass.

Beauty and the Beast is a live stage show and only at certain times of the day, so we generally plan around it - we get the time from the blackboard at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. Also, if 4 for a Dollar is opening, make sure you get there in plenty of time to see them. :)

 Kari! Have fun last night?

Here's a video of Tower of Terror.

Andy just called me. They just did the Backstage Tour. He and one of the dad's were picked to be part of the show. In all of the years we've gone, alone or with the boys, we have NEVER been picked for anything. The boys were in stitches watching Andy and the dad. They are having a blast. One of the dad's with them knows someone at the Studios, and they were able to get a reservation for 15 people for RIGHT NOW for Mama Melrose. So they are off to eat dinner and then are going to stay at the Studios for fireworks (guess the Studio does fireworks only on 4th of July and on New Year's Eve).

Better say goodnight before I fall asleep at the computer.

Have a great rest of the holiday and sleep well.

Good night Christine. Sleep well tonight. You must be a bag of hammers. You poor thing. Nite nite! :cloud9:

Sci Fi is tomorrow. Today was supposed to be Fulton's--but they cancelled. They were in the pool all afternoon. They are going to do counter service at the Studios. He has NO idea what a bad idea that is--worse food on the planet. :rotfl2:

We actually had a really great counter service lunch at Starring Rolls last week. Excellent desserts, too. I was surprised to find that in HS.

Thanks. DH and I will have to give it a try. Wish I'd known earlier to tell my son. :rotfl2:

We had HUGE sandwiches. We should have shared, really. We were on the dining plan and the desserts were to die for. Two of my dd's got a chocolate peanut butter cupcake. I got Tiramisu. My youngest dd got a banana split thing. Hubby got the choc. peanut butter cupcake too. They were all great and there was NO LINE. They are tucked in beside The Brown Derby.

And.. on the TOT ride. All I have to say is NEVER AGAIN. And I love rollercoasters, but that thing scared the bahonkey outta me :)

Tracy... I found a good video of Soarin in case you are worried about getting sick. Just keep in mind that the car itself doesn't move. Makes me so wish I were there! BTW... forgot about it until I was watching the video, but my cousin lives in California, and you have to drive past the orange groves in the video to get to her house.

Ooooh....everything you mentioned sounds delicious. This is definitely on my list for our next trip.

Sorry you don't like TOT. It was a little nervewracking the first time I went on it, but after that it was a breeze and we do it at least three times per trip.

My mouth is watering just reading this!

BTW... welcome to Tracy's pickle! Hold on tight... it's quite a ride! :rotfl:

I promised my youngest DD (8) that we would do it for sure. Maybe it was the fear of the unkown that was worst????? I don't know. My middle dd (12) LOVED it and wants to ride it repeatedly. I'll send her with you next time ;)

I am really a big Rockin' Roller Coaster fan!!

Oh yeah... there is a new CS restaurant in the Contemporary now. It has GREAT food. Be sure to check it out. You can watch the monorails go by. It is right by Chef Mickey's.

WOW. I just read about the monorail crash. How terribly tragic. :( I am so sad for that family and everyone involved.

Horrible! First one this serious - they've had a very good record over the years.

According to Reedy Creek Emergency Services, the monorails collided at about 2 a.m. Sunday, killing one of the train operators.

The name of the driver has not been released. The operator of the other monorail was not injured.

Eight other people were evaluated after the crash, but no other injuries were reported.

A witness told Local 6 News that he heard a loud crashing noise when the monorails collided. Video obtained exclusively by Local 6 News shows guests trying to help the driver who was killed in the crash.

The monorail has been closed, and an investigation into the fatal accident is under way.

Walt Disney World vice president of public affairs Mike Griffin issued a statement offering condolences to the employee's family.

"Today, we mourn the loss of a fellow cast member. Our hearts go out to the family and fellow cast members who lost a coworker and a friend. Safety of our guests and cast members is our top priority. We will work with law enforcement to determine what happened," Griffin said in the statement.

A Disney spokeswoman declined to discuss details of the accident.
