Love the buffet idea. I would totally do that. But I want fun food not pretentious entrees. STuff that people would not expect at a wedding like little sliders, fries, chicken strips. I want more of a party than a formal reception. Drinking, eating, dancing and... mmm.... drinking. Then after the party is over, we can go to the Bourbon Street bars and drink some, okay, a lot more.

Kim I couldn't agree more. A wedding is a celebration. It shouldn't be stuffy, and quiet that's what funerals are for.

..and so checking out zappos.com, i came across some blue heels!! and i also read that the trend now is not to have the traditional white shoes . its all about personalization....

i wish they were in a different color. i love the bow and the hieght they only came in 4 colors, that red above, a maroon a dark pink and a black and a brown ( i tihnk that what it was)

I’ve also decided not have such a giant hoobla of a wedding, a nice small one can be good too.

ok.. i was thinking of cake the other day.. a grooms cake sounds interesting..

apparantly as the tradition goes :

I have so many ideas. but i have narrowed it down to only a few and still keeping with the blue theme!!








they all are soo pretty.. and of course the inside would be choclate fugde!

i think i found the dress!! it has everything i want on it.. sleeves.. color.. !!

( a-line strapless with cap sleeves, sash available in royal blue, found at helen bridal)

So here's the neat thing, DD22 is engaged!!!! So we are officially planning a wedding. Sara you should look at the dresses on avabridal.com, check the dream in color section. Cami is looking at dresses there. Her colors are going to be shades of blue, mostly dark blues.
My BFF did a Groom cake but she did it at the engagement party the night before the wedding. It was a replica of their 67 Camaro and the license plates on the back had their name on it, well his name, hers to be the next day. It was so much fun. I don't think I'd do 2 cakes, but I'd make sure that DBF had some input into that and the flowers and venue as well. I'd prefer to chose the colors myself but he'd have some input to that as well.

Thanks Matt We are pretty excited. They do have some really nice two toned dresses, Cami wants one of those for sure. They are also quite reasonably priced, the only problem is they are in Australia and that makes Cami nervous because she can't try it on first. Hopefully she can get to a David's Bridal and find something similar to try on.
