A Gaggle of Band Geeks on a NYE Dream FINISHED! 2/28

I'm still here too! Your recent post popped up on my subscribed threads. The parasailing looks like so much fun. I was too chicken to try it when we went to the Bahamas, but it sure sounds like it was a smooth adventure. I am somewhat afraid of heights however, so maybe I wouldn't be able to do it. Love Shae's braids, and how great that Tyson was able to parasail twice!

Wow, I am SO glad that I stumbled upon this thread!!

I teach Band down here in GA, and am also a HUGE Disney fan!! I am fortunate enough to make it down to Disney World around 5-7 times each year, including the trip that we take our 8th graders each May for Disney's Magic Music Days Workshop. It's SOOO cool to hear from people who share all of the same interests as I do!

Some of my colleagues have asked if I have ever met Matt or Dean because they say that I am just as big of a fan of Disney as they are! However, I have only really seen them in passing at the Summer Symposium or Nationals. Maybe one day, our paths will all cross in either the parks or at a show!!

I'm so glad you found me! I love it when people from our little 'band' and 'drum corps' world are also big Disney fans!

Do you teach at Kennesaw? Or another Cobb Cty school? We love that area... and you are lucky to be so close to Disney! (Well, comparatively speaking, of course!)

Thanks for checking in!

Thank YOU TOO!!

And you should give parasailing a try! Though I'm not afraid of heights, I really didn't feel like we were actually that high... I think the large amount of water helps out!

Thanks for hanging in there with me!

I am the mello tech at Kennesaw Mtn., but my day job is a band director at one of the middle schools that feeds Kennesaw!

It really is nice living here - I LOVE it!! And it is nice being just a short 7 hour (well, 6 1/2 hours the way I drive :) ) drive to Disney!

I'm very much looking forward to the conclusion of your TR!!!

Congrats on teaching at such a fine school with a great band program!! And thanks again for checking in! I'm FINALLY wrapping this TR up and will be starting a new one (from FALL BREAK... ugh!) shortly!

Hope to see you there!

One of the benefits of doing the later dinner is that you get to disembark later as well! We enjoyed a quick (and 'meh') breakfast and joined the herd of cruisers leaving our amazing ship:

I was blown away by the process... all of the lines and lines of luggage... yet it was organized enough that we quickly found our stuff and were on our way to the airport.

All travels were on schedule and no luggage was lost. But my magic was. It was SO HARD to leave this vacation... something we had looked forward to for SO LONG... and it was over.

We could only do one thing...

PLAN ANOTHER ONE!!

Gaggle of Band Geeks on the Fantasy New Year's Eve 2013/2014!!

Thanks for reading everyone! I apologize for the ridiculous amount of time it took to complete! See you soon!

How fun that you have another awesome trip to look forward too!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks for a great report Sooze. I can't wait for the next one! :)

Thanks Glenn!! Not sure if I should start the new one, or get caught up on all of the TRs I haven't been able to keep up with (i.e..... YOURS!!!!)
