A funny thing happened in Margaritaville....

I forgot to mention this in my trip report so I thought I'd mention it now...
In KW, I had to stop at Margaritaville. I wanted a T shirt and a magnet. So I'm looking all over the store, and DD#1 (12) comes up to me with a very brightly colored small package with a picture of a parrot on it. "What's this?" she asks.
It says "Parrothead prophylactic"
Hoping she knows what I mean, and having lost the ability to think fast in the heat, I whisper "It's a rubber".
"what's that?" Oops. That didn't work.
So I'm forced to start a brief explanation, but luckily she catches on quick, says "OOO yuck" and runs to put it back.
Some things you just wish they'd keep behind the counter!

Nope, not kidding. I bet it would be a good stocking stuffer for a true parrothead! Unfortunately sometimes as a mom I have to check my sense of humor at the door--or at least when the kids are around! It just wasn't something I was expecting to be confronted with!

Rockn' Robin, I think you handled it just fine. I don't know what I would say if I was confronted with something like that. My DS (7) is a reading machine lately and I could just imagine him asking me what it was. I would have to leave it to my DH.
