Yes. I figure if I have been comfortable enough to take them in cities that are unknown to me solo, I would definitely be comfortable with them from one WDW resort to another.

I did it on my last trip. Late dinner at Kona, cab back to POP. No problems.

Clare, I have done it many times. By myself and with others. I feel perfectly safe. Never had any issues.

Absolutely! But just a tip - on occasion, if you go to the concierge and ask if the hotel has someone to take you to your resort, they will free of charge. They don't always have someone, but I've hitched a ride with the cart taking some baggage from GF back to Wilderness Lodge.
Never hurts to ask.
