A Few ?'s about on line Check in for BWV..

I never did the online check in, I guess because I never understood the purpose of it. Can you help me understand it?

1-What is the reason for online check in?
2-Is there a benefit in doing it?
3-I request a specific room number and I know it's no guarantee, but I usually get around the room I ask for when I check in. So if I do on line will I lose my chance for the room request to happen?
4-Will my request have a better chance if I check in at the hotel vs online?

Thanks for all help with this, we are 55 days out and I can do the check in if I decide to go that way.

Your best bet is to call or e-mail member services with your requests. I have had 2 trips this year, e-mailed member services about 30 days ahead and got my requests both times. Don't wait until you get to the hotel to make your requests, most resorts pre-assign rooms.

Online check-in pre-registers your information and your information packet will be ready for you when you check-in.

I don't think online check-in allows specific room numbers. You have to contact member services.

From what cm's have posted, doing online check-in does not hurt or help getting your requests or upgrades.

With the new magic band and fastpass+ system being tested, I think you have to do online check-in to trigger the fastpass selection process.
