We stayed in room 5077 close to elevators but not too close! The room was in nice condition but it took us about 24 hours to get a working TV remote for the living room! Over all we loved the location! Easy to walk to 2 parks. I did notice on a few mornings people leaving their trash bags in the hallways! Why people could not just walk them down to the trash room is beyond me!

Ate at the ESPN club one night the food was just so-so and the service was kinda of lacking!

We used the dining plan but ended up not using all the credits! The problem was that we did not check into the hotel till a little before 10 pm and were charged for the dining plan for that day! Another thing I noticed about the dining plan was that on some of receipts for meals they would have an 18 % gratuity added in. Does anyone know why that is if we are not paying cash?

We also did Micky's Not So Scary Halloween. We all loved it! Planning on doing again next year! My son took home a boatload of candy! I noticed that most people left after the 10 O'clock parade.

During the week the wait in the parks for most rides was about 20 minutes!

PS. I don't think we will be doing a studio after staying in one bedroom with the whole family! Myself DW,DS3,DD7months and MIL

The Grat is for the wait staff and is based on the "cost" of the mea. It's how they make their money. It's going away next year.

This bugs me also. But, I think people regard BWV, BCV & WLV as "hotel" resorts. This is because they are attached to/or next to WDW deluxe resorts and share all the perks, priviledges, amenities, etc. as the hotel part of the resort does. When surrounded by this type of hotel atmosphere, some guests forget that they are in DVC accomendations. These resorts do not receive the same level of service as a hotel--- because they are timeshare, not a hotel. Some people find this concept hard to grasp when the folks in the next building/wing, etc get daily housekeeping and trash removal. Plus to really cloud the waters---WLV, BCV & BWV also have the hotel perk of 24 hour room service, which is great. However, room service trays, etc are to be placed outside your door after you call in room dining to notify them you have trays/dishes to be removed. Yet trash is to be taken to the trash room because it is a DVC unit. I can see where people get confused, especially if they are new to the world of DVC.

I've never put trash outside my door, but I've never seen instructions about where the "trash room" is, either. It would not hurt if they would put a small sticker somewhere telling people not to put trash in the hall, and notifying them where to find the "trash room."

It is listed in the resort newspaper you get when you check in. Many people do not read this. I agree, some other type of information needs to be given to the resort guests other than the resort's newspaper. That is obviously not working.

The dining plan is charged per night of stay, regardless of when you check-in.

18% gratuity is automatically included in all table service checks in 2007 as part of the plan. In 2008, the guest will be expected to pay the gratuity separate.

Been off for a few weeks! No time! One other strange thing I noticed was no place to recycle glass bottles! I cans for just about everything else!
All you really need to do is follow the signs in the hallways for where you put your trash! That's what I did!
