Just a few last minute questions...we leave this Saturday for the May 15th Wonder...Cant wait!!! :goodvibes But I have a few quick questions.

Aside from all shore excursions, souveniers, and alcoholic drinks, what would we need extra cash for (oh and tipping). How much should we take?

DH wants to know if specialty coffee drinks on board and are they additional or included, he's a big starbucks fan

Bed rails for bunks don't look like they would hold a child in, do they offer other bed rails with higher rails or is what we saw in another post it?

Thanks in advanced for any advice

Specialty coffee is in the Cove Cafe and unfortunately it's extra..about on a par cost wise with Starbucks AND in a relaxing adults only atmosphere. DD is hooked on Starbucks (she even has a Starbucks credit card that pays "rewards" in Starbucks dollars) and she says the coffee in Cove Cafe is great. I don't drink coffee so I really can't say but they made a great hot chocolate when I was on board.

:cheer2: I wish I were going again. My DGD princess: is a restless sleeper. We were awake most of the first night thinking she was going to fall out of the top bunk. She kept kicking the wall & railing. The rest of the trip, she was so tired (maybe we were so tired) that she slept quietly. She never did fall. Don't worry. You may need extra money for Shutters. I couldn't resist those candid & posed pictures. Also, my DH pirate: played bingo. Some sessions were $50. We also had hairbraiding done that was worth every penney. They were $2 a row, stayed in well & were easy to take out the week after the cruise. We spent more that we expected. We vow to spend less next trip. Have a magical cruise :wizard:

My husband the Starbucks fan loves Cove Cafe too. They even have some alcoholic coffees...he loves the Jamacian one.
And don't forget the smoothies and snacks at the theaters! Those are extra cost too.

I am curious as to average how much do most people spend/bring on the cruise? I am going on a 4 day cruise and I am expecting we will spend 1,000. Does this sound right?

We are doing the dolphin excursion so that is about 350 for the 3 of us.

350 dolphins
100 snorkle gear at CC
150 + for tips
100 for pictures
150 for spa (rasul, rainforest) maybe something else too if I decide LOL
100 souvenirs --- does this sound right?
50 drinks - we arent big drinkers
and I am not sure how many $2 braids she will have...but I think it would be worth it for my DD to not have to mess with her hair the whole time.

Does this sound realistic?

In my experience, everything is chargeable to your room key card, with three exceptions:

Car parking at the terminal (cash, Visa, or MC only)
Porters at the terminal (embarking and disembarking)
Cash for Bahamanian stamps at CC

(And of course, anything you do while onshore in Nassau requires cash or credit cards.)

PALO--Don't miss it! $10 per person and we added extra tip. $10 is the cover charge. Rasberry champagne $12 per glass goes soooooooo well with the chocolate souffe. Worth every calorie!!!

Shopping in Nassau, T-shirts (approx $19 & up) Shutters pics are wonderful and 6X8 are $10 8x10 are $20, but they do have packages if you buy alot.

Have a great trip, we just got back yesterday! Still haven't gotten rid of my sea legs yet!

Thank you for that link. I read it all and I thought of 3 things I missed. The internet $49 & Bingo, not sure how much we will spend there & Palo's how could I forget that. I want to do both brunch and dinner.
