Trying to make DD's 7th bday super special.

Can you take the boat from Port Orleans Riverside to Downtown Disney?

Why are the hotel rates so high on 3/7?

We are trying to plan dinner and then watch the fireworks from outside the parks on the night of 3/7. What restaurant and time would you recommend?

Thanks!!!

Yes, there is a boat from POR to DTD.

I'm guessing rates are high because it's getting into Spring Break season. ? Plus it's Saturday, and rates are higher on Fri-Sat nights.

Don't have an answer for the last question.

If Fireworks are at 10; look for a table arond 915-930.

Ohana and Cali Grill would be the best options

Finding a table service restaurant at one of the MK resorts at 2 weeks out is going to take a miracle. You could try getting an ADR at 'Ohana or the California Grill, but I really think counter service at Captain Cook's might be your best option at this late date.

There is a reservation at Kona available, will that work? I havent been able to to confirm what time the fireworks are that night.

A Kona reservation will work, but you need to make it early enough that you're finished eating and back out on the beach at Poly. You can watch the fireworks from there and they do pipe in the music. So check to see what time the fireworks are before you make your ADR.

Are they limiting access to Poly beach (i,e, to Poly overnight guests) during construction?
