Hya guys :)
We are over in Orlando at the mo - visiting from the Uk - getting married at Disney on Halloween, we are staying at Disney and as its our first trip I have done a lot of research and this has helped make our days in this park flow so much better.
However I haven't done the same for universal and now I am feeling totally unprepared ;(
We have bought the 2park ticket with HHN included
We plan to do one of the parks tomorrow (Monday) and stay right through for the HNN. (We have planned 2 days for universal so we will come back again in the next week) I don't have much time to scroll through all the threads and just wondered if someone 'in the know' would be kind enough to answer a few questions x

We have hired a car with satnav so I'm not too worried about getting there, but what time does the park open? And should we get there at the open?

I'm not even too sure which parks have which attractions (sorry :( ) but we would love to do Harry potter, despicable me and some more thrill rides (Disney rides are quite tame?) Which way around should we plan the rides (which get full the quickest?

Is there a fast pass type system like Disney?

What is the 'stay and scream' thingy? Can we do that? Where is it? What time?

Any tips for getting around the HHN in an orderly fashion - we picked a Monday in the hope that it wouldn't be too busy but obviously it is very close to Halloween, so could do with a heads up on any handy tips

We are bringing our 2 kids aged 13 and 9 - they will cope fine with the horror but it is a long day - can you suggest decent places to eat for rest stops?

Any other handy tips that I haven't thought of would be welcome too.
This is a holiday of a lifetime for us, probably won't ever be able to afford to come back so trying to get the most out of everything.

Also got sea world
Discovery cove
And Busch gardens to do but they seem a bit more - turn up and wing it type places lol x

We have hired a car with satnav so I'm not too worried about getting there, but what time does the park open? And should we get there at the open? The parks open at 9am...if you want to do HP early, then be there at opening. Crowds shouldn't be too bad but you should still try to be there by 8:30 or so.

I'm not even too sure which parks have which attractions (sorry :( ) but we would love to do Harry potter, despicable me and some more thrill rides (Disney rides are quite tame?) Which way around should we plan the rides (which get full the quickest? Check out the website to see an overview of the parks at which rides are located in which park. Since this is slow season, planning really isn't that big of a deal.

Is there a fast pass type system like Disney? Express Plus passes are available for purchase but nothing free unless you stay onsite. Prices are based on the expected crowd levels. For tomorrow, the two park EP is $35.99 plus tax per person. You probably won't need it.

What is the 'stay and scream' thingy? Can we do that? Where is it? What time? The holding areas are located near Finnegan's, Despicable Me and the KidZone near E.T. at the Studios. You have to be in the park prior to closing to do S & S. I'm VERY concerned about your next question.

Any tips for getting around the HHN in an orderly fashion - we picked a Monday in the hope that it wouldn't be too busy but obviously it is very close to Halloween, so could do with a heads up on any handy tips HHN is only staged on Monday when Halloween falls on a Monday. If you are planning to go tomorrow night, you will be sorely disappointed. After tonight, the last night for HHN this year is Wednesday night...not Monday.
My answers in blue.

Bugger!!!
We get married on Wednesday then onto MNSSHP - already paid for these dated tickets!

So we need to go tonight?
Is Tuesday an option?

Thank you so much for your response x

Blimey!!!
Looks like we are going tonight then hahaha - hope the kids get back from blizzard beach soon argh!!!!

Thanks again for the heads up, we went to HHN tonight, bought the express card and had a great night, it was very crowded though - we just got back.
We will do the 2 parks in the next week x
