Hi

I'm taking my daughter away to disney paris for the first time later this year and have a few questions. I've looked a little on the forums but can't find any direct answers to myh questions so any help would be fantastic!

Firstly, my flight leaves newcastle at 6am so I will be at the Parks well before the check in time of 3pm..... does anyone know if I can leave my bags at the hotel and take the passes and spend the day in the park until I can check into the room?

The other thing is, I know there is an option to have breakfast with the characters at an extra cost, I'd like to know if this includes winnie the pooh or is it just mickey and the princesses? If so do I book that before i go or is it ok to do on the day or when i arrive?

Last thing is I've read on this forum the characters will sing happy birthday to the kids..... my daughter is 4 the day we come back and i would love for her favourite charcters to do that so again can i book this in advance, does it include a birthday cake, if not roughly how much extra is that.

I dont know if it makes much difference but we are staying at the sequoia lodge and its at the end of september.

Thanks for all your help :goodvibes

Hi Mark19mc and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

You will be able to leave your suitcase at the hotel if your room is not ready :)

Unfortunately there are no guarantees which characters will attend the meals. Others may have seen Winnie but we have only every at Tigger and Eeyore as Pooh characters.

You can definitely book a birthday cake and the characters will as you are aware sing Happy Birthday. Not sure of the cost but I'm sure someone will chip in:)

you can leave your bags (or at least I have) and get your passes early. I think quite a lot of people do this.
you can have breakfast at cafe mickey. characters there include mickey, minnie, goofy etc.
but you can have your tea there instead and then you don't miss out on your free breakfast.
on our last trip we 'did' all of the character meals - lucky nugget lunch buffet, plaza gardens tea party buffet, inventions buffet and l'auberge de cendrillon as well as cafe mickey.
they all have completely different types of food. if you like burgers, steak, pasta etc cafe mickey is good, and you can choose food acording to your budget.
my daughter had her birthday at l'auberge de cendrillon and it was lovely. we paid for a cake and snow white and all the other princesses sang her happy birthday - it was lovely. if you remind the waiter who seats you that you've booked a cake they'll remember to give you a good seat. i think the food is lovely there but my kids are good eaters and love broad beans etc.
when it was my son's birthday we had a tea at plaza gardens. if you order a cake you have to pay 3 or 4 euro extra each on top if memory serves.
it's mostly cakes but also pizza, sausages and hash browns. the characters make a fuss of people having birthdays. drinks are free. it's a very specific time though.
i saw someone have a birthday at lucky nugget. it's a big place and you don't always get more than one character singing to you. great food though!
i think inventions is wonderful. but it is expensive and if you're not into fancy gourmet food you might not think it worth it.
the waiters in inventions and l'auberge de cendrillon have been wonderful, and also in plaza gardens there seems to be good service.
there's a phone line to reserve meals but if you're flexible they can usually accommodate you on the day.

i wish i hadn't started writing this - i'm desperate to go to all the restaurants again. i was going to try to save money this time!

oooh im excited, im going cafe mickey for my 25th :)

I arrive at 12.30, would my room still be ready because i dont fancy waiting till3pm to get in my room esp when ive got a hyper toddler lol. Do they make exceptions and let you in your room early?

If your room is ready they will let you have it early. If not Im afraid you have to wait til after 3.00 however you can leave your luggage, collect your park tickets and head into the parks or village. We've checked in as early as 8.00am to collect tickets

One thing to remember about Winnie the Pooh is that its quite a big character (in terms of costume size) so you are more likely to see at a meet and greet than at a character meal due to its mobility. We've seen Winnie a number of times at the meet and greet point in Sequoia Lodge so you might strike lucky that way.
