What would a taxi cost from Port Orleans to Kenedy space center?
What would a taxi cost from Port Orleans to SeaWorld?

Theres 5 of us!

Current taxi rates are either $3.35 or $3.85 for the first mile, and about $2.20 for each mile after that. Plus, the meters are tied into the engine/transmission; over X seconds of wait time (traffic lights, traffic, etc.), the meter ticks up another 1/8 mile cost - or about twenty seven cents.

So any ideas on how to get there without renting a car or spending over 100 bucks?

Seaworld, sure. Get to the TTC or Downtown Disney and take the Lynx Route 50 bus to Seaworld. Be sure to tell the driver that's where you want to get out, otherwise the bus won't stop there (and apparently it's a pretty good hike from the next/first stop). The return bus picks up across the street from the parking lot. See www.golynx.com for prices and exact routing/times, but it's about $2 per person each way.

To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to get to KSC - other than by rental car - for anywhere near your maximum limit.

I agree with Kay-t. You can't get to Kennedy without renting a car or spending a lot of money on a car service. I would rent the car.

You can do SW for less than $100 as she outlined. Good luck.

Actually, there is a tour that will take you from a Disney resort to the Kennedy Space Center and back again. You pay one price for the transportation and tickets to the space center. I'm thinking of using them on my next trip.

I don't have enough posts to post the link, but here's how to get there:

Go to "orlandoescape.com"

Look at the column on the right side and click on "Orlando Tours."

Then find "Kennedy Space Center" on the left column and click on that.

There is even a space center tour that includes an airboat safari!:cool1:

YOU'RE WELCOME!

I believe that the airboat safari takes you for a quick tour of the swamps around the center. There's lots of wildlife around the space center. And I've heard that the airboats are awesome to ride on. Sounds really fun. That's the tour that I'll take on my next trip.

Hope you enjoy it.

Oh, I noticed that you also asked about a taxi to Sea World. I used a taxi on my last trip from All-Star Music to Sea World. With tip, it was about $30. But remember, that was one way, so it would run about $60 roundtrip.

Also, if you don't like driving in the Orlando area (and I know I don't and I grew up in LA!), you can also call Mears Transportation. They will pick you up at your resort, take you to Sea World, and then back again. However, since they charge per person, it would probably be more expensive.

Have fun!

We took the taxi from ASMU to Universal (just pass Seaworld's area) last week. Going from ASMU was $34, coming back from Universal to DTD was only $27. We wanted to be at DTD for some stuff but it is obviously further to ASMU on property.
