Hello there everyone! You guys are so great with helping to plan that I have a few questons:

1. Begining of February, March, or the middle of April to go to the World?
2. Which Value Resort to stay at and will the Sports be finished by then?
3. Is the Dining Plan worth the money now?

I know that the end of March is out since that is Easter time.

Thanks for any and all advice!!!:)

If your schedule is flexible, I would think February would be the least crowded.

However, it may be too cool to swim, if that's important to you.

As for the DDP, I looked at the menus on All Ears Net, and added up the costs for items I thought my family would probably order for lunch and dinner every day. I didn't add in snacks or desserts, as we probably wouldn't pay OOP for those. I still came in slightly ahead with the DDP, so the snacks and desserts are like freebies.

I would agree with the OP that February is the least busy, but we have been in March the last 3 years and found it not too bad. We have stayed at POR the last 2 trips and CSR once. We prefered POR. We have only done the DDP once and thought that there was alot of food to eat, and alot of planning prior to your trip, the last 2 trips we have forgone the DDP and just choose to eat as we liked, and it seemed to be a bit more money, but it was much more convienant for us. I think it depends on what your family needs are. I have a 17 and 12 yr. olds who would rather spend the days at the parks and ride the rides or go to the waterparks "to play" then eat, so the DDP doesn't make sense for us.

I believe if you have the time to put into making all the ADR's and planning your days prior to your departure then the DDP is for you, we like to be spontaneous...we don't know what park we are going to be at the week we are there...we like to just wing it. Good luck deciding...have fun!!!

I agree, I would go in Feb. this is our favorite time to go. I have only stayed at one value resort and we were happy with it. ASM was the one we stayed at. I would log on to mousesavers.com and she has a section about each resort. She will even tell you what buildings are closest to the bus and all sorts of tips.
