A Few Questions Regarding VDH Sales

Hi All - a few questions for the pros on the board...

1) It looks like the existing member incentive applies to split contracts, provided they add up to 150 total. Is there any particular combo (100/50, 75/75, 50/50/50) that tend to work out better for owners in the long run? I would assume it only really matters if you want to more easily sell off a small number points or if you want to leave it to your kids, but is there anything else to consider (other than the increased closing costs)?

2) Does "Magical Beginnings" apply, and if so, how much for VDH?

3) We recently became resale owners at VGC with an August UY. I figured any purchase at VDH would be for the same UY. Any reason not to do it? Is having mulitple waitlists really worth the administrative headache of multiple UY?

4) Are there any other discounts to be aware of other than the incentives? For example, using a specific credit card, Magic Key holders?

I’m going to answer your questions because I think it’ll help me process everything before I buy on Thursday.

1) I think the split contract is a personal choice. Some ppl are splitting it so each of their kid inherits a contract. I don’t have kids but I am thinking of doing 75/75 because this way if I realize I do want to sell, I don’t have to sell it all at once. I also mainly buy small contracts because they seem to sell quicker and demand a higher price on the resale market.

2) Magical Beginning do apply at VDH I believe at 150 pts. It’s $22/pp for your 2023 points.

3) Since they’re only selling add on contracts right now, you will have to add on to your Aug uy. If you want to buy 100 or more points, then you can wait until end of the month to add on and choose a diff uy then. I personally only want 1 uy and have 8 contracts all on the same membership which makes combining so much easier. People who buy large contracts or like to bank/borrow won’t have to worry about combining and so that’s when the extra wait list is helpful. Also they like having a diff uy where they don’t have to worry about using points at the last 4 months so less risk if need to cancel their reservation.

4) I was originally going to buy 75 but now considering 150 to get the $20 incentive + $22 magical beginnings. Also using my CSR to get 3% travel. I didn’t want to open a new cc but someone else is spreading their payments over multiple cc to get the promos that way.

If you split contracts - it’s $250 doc fee plus additional closing cost of about $125. I asked when I was talking about it with my guide.

They will sell a current owner a new UY during the pre sales for owners.

I did that last year for VGF. Since I was an owner, it was not an issue. I did 150 in my current Dec UY and another 150 in a new June UY..and got the member pricing for 300 points.
