Hi just wondering if anyone knew the email address for hotel new york? I want to ask how much it is to upgrade to a lake view room. Plus read diffrent info re tea and coffee making facilities do they have them in room if not do I need to pay or it our just take my own. Can I buy milk there??? And I think there probably is but you never know - are there hair dryer in all rooms?

there are no coffee or tea facilieties in the room. But I do think you can request a kettle, not sure if it's free of charge. There's a hair dryer in bathroom. Upgrade is around 250Eur.

Direct email addresses for hotels are not available.
Contact details can be found in the Very Useful Info sticky at the top of the board.
Most DISers have found phoning Disney or the Hotel very easy in making any special requests.

No tea making facilities in the room but we asked for a kettles and cups and they were free of charge. the shop in the hotel sells milk which is a godsend :))

So they'll give loan you a kettle and cups for free? How kind of them.

But (if I am understanding correctly) you have to bring you're own tea, coffee and milk? That's a bit rubbish isn't it? Even a Travelodge gives you tea and coffee in the room!

Yes the kettle is definatly free, I seem to think you had to hire the cups? Could be wrong tho :confused3 We just took a small sandwich box with some tea bags and coffee sachets with us. We brought some disney mugs that we brought back with us. In fact in drinking my morning tea in it now!

I think it's mainly us brits that have tea and coffee making facilities in our rooms. Most other places I've travelling too don't seem to bother much. Sometimes in the States you get coffee makers but not much else.

We stayed at French hotels twice last year and the rooms had tea, coffee, herbal tea, biscuits, little pastry things etc so I assumed tea and coffee in the room would be universal in France like over here.

Still, hardly a major issue and forewarned is forearmed, we can easily pack some.

Besides the Campanile chain and a few private hotels geared towards the English tourist I don't think I've ever had that in my room here :confused3

I think it's because most people would shudder at the idea of starting the day with an instant coffee and tea is mainly served as lukewarm water and a Liptons teabag unless you are on a diet and going for the detox tea :lmao:

The upmarket hotels all provide room service service so they'd see it as redundant...

My OH found it amusing in England to see it in the hotels whatever their star rating and loved the biscuits :)

We didnt have to hire the cups, they came with the kettle. we took our own coffee, teabags and sugar and bought milk from the hotel shop.

hiya

we stayed in hotel new york at new year (arrived 31 Dec). We were given a room overlooking the lake - at no extra charge, and we didn't even ask for it! I was well chuffed

Hairdryer in the bathroom. Never even ntoiced re tea and coffee - we were only in the room to sleep! hardly spent any other time there!
