So there are a few things that I can't quite wrap my head around.

1. I've booked character dining experiences for pretty much every night/day of our trip - do the characters only show up at certain times? Like at Akershus - are we going to definitely see the princesses or do they only come out at certain times?

2. I booked the Dxdp package and I believe it said something about getting pics with the princesses - do we actually get a 5x7 or did I misread that?

3. People on here are saying that they still have to wait a bit with a reservation, so should we show up a little early or not?

Thanks so much!!

1. Characters are continually making a loop around the restaurant, so no need to worry about missing any. With Akershus, at least at breakfast, the princesses wait a bit to get started. We were one of the early seatings, and we had been there about 20 mins before the princesses came out. But, they are there, you will see them.

2. Have no idea...I do know that when you eat at CRT and Akershus, the photo with a princess is included in the price. It is a nice pkg.

3. Yes, you will have to wait a wee bit to be seated. Showing up early isn't going to help a lot...many people were doing that so now, if you show up more than 15 or so mins before your ADR time, the CM will tell you to return at the 15 min mark. You can figure on waiting about 10 mins for most ADRs..but it can be more at some restaurants.

Thanks so much! We have lunch dates at CRT and Akershus (I can NEVER spell that right!!) and dinner at crystal palace and 1900 park fare - breakfast at O'hana. I know I'm probably trying to pack a lot in but I wanted to make sure each kid got what they wanted and that we made the most of the package!

The photo package is included at CRT and Akershus, even on the dining plan. There is a photo op with Cinderella at CRT, and with one princess (usually Belle) at Akershus.

At any other restaurant that offers photo packages, you need to pay extra for them.

With the photos at norway we got a coupon good for $10 off at other character meal photos.

This is our experience (meaning everyone could have a different experience :))

We just returned today from a 6 night stay. There were 6 of us in our party. At Le Cellier (7pm res), CG (5:40 res), Ohanas (5:30 res), Boma (6:30 res), TH (8:20am res), and CRT (8:20am res)...we were seated at least 20 minutes before our scheduled reservations (in parentheses).

I arrived earlier as people have told me to allow 1.5 hours to get to my reservations, especially from AKL, where we stayed. The most it took was 45 minutes which included waiting for the buses, monorail, and or boat.

I was expecting to wait for dinner since most of our reservations are during prime dinner times...and its free dining. But we did not have to wait at all...they would hand me a pager and it would go off almost immediately.

Regarding the pictures...with CRT and Askershus you get a 5 x 7 and four 4 x 6s. Also, at the top left corner of the 5 x 7, there is a 16 digit photopass number that you can use to add those photos to your photopass album if you are doing Photopass.

Have a great time.

I can only take one or two character dining. LOUD and exhausting but take some TYLENOL of IBUPROFEN. You'll need it.:cool1:

I haven't done either Princess meal and I don't know exactly how large your group will be, but I've read after a certain size the group will actually get two sets of photos. I can't recall if its 6 or 8 people, but hopefully someone can provide that detail for you.

a photo package for every four people. So, for example, if you have two adults and three kids there can be two poses with separate photo packages.

Okay, good to note! There are four of us - I have two children and a husband (who's really one big child LOL). As for the advice of ibuprofen - I'm putting it on my checklist right now!! I'm worried about factoring in travel time, and I'm still trying to figure out how we're going to get to 'Ohana from Pop for our breakfast Halloween morning - it's scheduled at 9:15 am.

Take the bus from POP to MK...once at MK, walk off the bus and get on the boat to the Polynesian or the monorail to the Polynesian.
