A few questions from someone who hasn't been to DL for 7 loooooonnnngggg years!

When my kids were little we made a trip to DL every other year and had a pretty good routine/system down! Our last visit was in 2005, in the meantime I have been going to WDW, so now I have a pretty good system down for that! This year my 4 year old nephew and his mom's are going to DL in December, and I am going along! I am so excited, I will most likely need some sort of anti anxiety (in a good way) drug therapy between now and then! The trip is a suprise for my nephew (he went on the WDW trip last year and asks DAILY Aunt Molly is taking him back!), he won't know until he gets there that I will be there because I am going a day early.
Now, for my questions! I have a 5 day PH with my package, but will actually be arriving earlier enough that I want to go to DL the day I get there, can I upgrade my ticket, or do I have to buy the deluxe expensive single day ticket?
2. Do they still do the fantasmic dessert event, we have done the ones in the old gallery, but since that was gone in2005 we ate on the riverbank, if that is available when could we book?
3. Most importantly, will Jack Skellington be there? Will I be arrested if I smother him with kisses? If so, will I get to finally see Disney Jail?

Fantasmic! dessert near the river is still going. Jack Skellington will be in HMH. Are you asking whether a JS character will be around? That I do not know. Have not seen one in the past. Will you be arrested? I guess it depends on how...ahem...affectionate you get.

On the ticket, I understand you can still upgrade tickets for extra days. I have never done more than five days so do not have any first hand experience.

How exciting! I see Jack Skellington and a female character (sorry, never seen the movie) standing in front of HMH with a LOOOOONG line in Sept. 2011 when we were there but I don't know if they keep them available until December. They have a handler near them, but I'm sure you could at least get a big hug!

There is no guarantee that he will be there this year, but we did see Jack and Sally roaming around last December.
