We have just booked our first trip to dlp as a family - I am travelling with my husband who has mobility restrictions due to a knee injury he uses crutches at home but we wud b looking at a mobility scooter for going round the parks - how do we go about getting one? And what price?

Also our two boys aged one and two will need a pushchair- can these be hired over there? And again how much would they be?
Would it be better for me to buy one at home and take it with us?

Last question (for now) who would you recommend for private transfers to and from the airport to dlp - we r staying at the dlp hotel.

Thanks in advance! :D

Hi can't help with mobility scooter, but with 2 kids I'm thinking you would need a double buggy from home (assuming your hubby wont be pushing)
I have used ezyshuttle before and a great transfer service but this time we have booked rstransports, shared shuttle less expensive and think its quite rare to actually share :thumbsup2, both come with good reccomendations. have a great trip :goodvibes

I can't help with the mobilty issues but I agree that you should bring your own buggy if you can - the ones at DLP aren't the best and you can't take the out the parks, so getting to/from your hotel every day might be a problem, especially if your lo's fall asleep.

I can also recommend Ezyshuttle - fantastic service. Our driver (John) met us after baggage claim inside the airport and escorted us straight to the waiting car. Faultless service :thumbsup2

You can't hire mobility scooters, only wheelchairs. Could prove difficult with someone having to push it and a pushchair too? You will better off bringing your own buggy as the ones in the park are big and bulky, and do not recline. Plus you have to pay extra (in the form of a deposit) to be able to move the pushchairs between parks, though most people dont get asked for one :-)

There are details in this thread here about hiring an electric wheelchair. As the post is an old one the information may no longer be valid :confused3 but the firm may be able to help you.
