A few questions for those who have stayed at Hilton Head

I'm not a DVC member, but I got a postcard rate in the mail for HH. My mom, grandma, and I are planning to go up there around the end of October and stay in a 2BR villa. Please tell me a little about what all there is to do both at the resort and at the nearby towns (Beaufort, Savannah, Charleston, etc.). Does Disney take shuttles to the nearby towns? Has anyone done any of the classes listed on Disney's website like the cake decorating, coffee tasting, etc.? Where can I find some pictures of the rooms? Any info is greatly appreciated.

October is a wonderful time to be at HH. The weather is still pleasant and the crowds very manageable.

There are local "Low Country" tours available for trips to Charleston and Savannah, but the resort iteself doesn't usually sponsor the trips. The resort activities are quite engaging. We have enjoyed the "Behind the Ears" tour on Wednesday's and any of the cooking classes are top notch. For a real treat, consider <a href="http://64.225.125.24/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93885">"A Private Affair"</a>- which is a gourmet dinner presenation for your group by the resort chef (advance reservations suggested).

Hi!

We spent a wek at HH this past June. We drove from PA and stopped in Charleston for a few hours on the way down. We had planned on taking a day trip to Savannah and Charleston during our stay in HH.

We never made it to either!!! There were so many activities in and around the resort. It was so beautiful that we never wanted to leave!!!!

We checked in before our room was ready and took the opportunity to just sit by the pool and look through the information that was given to us at check in.

Have a wonderful time!!! We can;t wait to go back!

we too were going to do lots of side trips but never made any. We rented bikes to back and forth to the beach house and just spent all our time by the two pools or the beach. Even rode the bikes on the beach and disney replaced the one that the chain got rusty on. There were just enough activities to keep you busy if you wanted. Our kids loved all of them.
