Hi
As our trip is in 3 weeks I have a few questions about OKW wich is the DVC resort we will be staying in a few weeks .
1st is there a counter restaurants there I' ve read about olivia's but as we will be on the dining plan I was wondering about thinking about lunch ( we usually take a counter service credit for lunch ) ??
Also I usually like taking a nice soda after my day at the park anywhere to refill those mugs at OKW ...because if not I will not buy a new one ..
And last for now ;) we will be on a 10 day stay will they ( housekeeping ) put new soaps & shampoos on the 4 th day ....this will be our first real DVC stay ( members dec 07 ) since we only stayed one night at AKL this past august .
Thanks alot

Hi and :welcome:

You will love OKW; we've stayed there twice; love it!

There is "Good's Food to Go" by the marina with picnic tables by the water...not actually a food court, but you can get the usual counter service stuff there.

Yes, I recall that new soaps and shampoos usually come with the Trash 'n Towel service on day four.

Have a wonderful time!

Kathy

Goods to Go is pretty anemic in terms of a counter service location. Think of it as "for emergencies only." But, if you've got some extra time, DTD is only a boat ride away.

I stayed OKW last summer and the lack of food options will keep us from returning. Fortunately the boat ride to DTD is a quick and scenic one with tons of food choices. Try my favorite, wolfgang puck express. They have whole pies and delicious oversized sandwiches which only count as a counter service on the DDP. I find it to be a best kept secret of the plan.

Hi
Thanks
So if I get it right no need for me to buy a refillable mug because nowhere to refill it with :guilty:
Cannot wait to try OKW .

You can refill mugs at "Goods to Go."

...and it could be a pretty good hike from your room (unless you booked in the Hospitality House category.)

The on premise dining Olivias is pretty good. The breakfast is excellent. Waitstaff very friendly. My only gripe is it is VERY noisy and it is your only option.

If the Turtle Shack is open (at Turtle Pond Pool) you can have your mugs refilled there also. We love riding the boat to DD and eating at Earle of Sandwich. Wolfgang Puck's is good, too.

We don't get refillable mugs at DVC resort because we can just fill up the refrigerator.
