Hi, i was thinking about taking my dd4 here to eat as i think she will love the Princess interaction. we are going 7-12th of November, my questions are...

how last minute do you think i would be able to book as i'm not sure what our money will be like until near the end of the week ie does it get too busy that i would not be able to go to city hall and book for the next day?

What do you get included in the price?

Which characters do you usually see?

It would be myself my dh, dd and ds who will be 18 months he has just found his voice :rotfl: and i am worried he would make too much noise for this type of restaurant, do you think we would be ok?

My dd maybe frighting seeing the characters in the un organized meet and greats so i think this could be a good way of her meeting some princesses.

Thanks

My DD has just turned 4 today and we cannot go to DLP without a visit to Auberge!!! On her insistence! :rotfl2: We have been twice in last 12 months and she met Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and the mice (Suzy & Perla) both times and also on our first trip Ariel & Prince Eric and on our second trip Snow White's Prince and Belle. :cloud9:

You get a 4 course meal (appetizers, starters, main courrse & dessert) and all your drinks, cocktail on arrival, wine & water with the meal, juice etc for kids. The starters & desserts are a selction of mini portions so there should be something to suit most people. There are some great photos on the restaurant review thread, including some of the menu. (Don't forget to ask about the Chef's Special!)

It can be a long meal, over 2 hours, so make sure you have things to entertain your DS and I'm sure you'll be fine! :thumbsup2 On our first trip we booked it on our first day (for 3 days later) and then tried to change the time on the day of booking but they were fully booked. Last trip we booked in advance. I would recommend booking anyway, you can always cancel...

It is a fantastic way to meet the princesses, truly magical! :wizard:

we love it and like mumtobelle its a must for our trips. my dd who is three just loves it there.

if its more for the interaction rather than the food maybe your dh and ds could do their own thing for an hour or two, maybe head to the studios for playhouse disney, stitch live etc. it is quite expensive so that would cut 60 euros out of the cost.

I'm thinking about going here too (17 year old boy) haha, but it looks wonderful, it's just the cost thats putting me off slightly. I think I'll book it when we arrive for the last day and if I can't justify the cost I cna always cancel.

I'm sure you'd have a wonderful time with all the princesses!! ;)

i havent ever tipped here to be honest. it costs so much for me to go as it is. then again i am not a big tipper, its not really the norm around here unless you go to somewhere really top end

Thanks for all your help, i just need to talk to dh and persuade him it's a good idea, do they do lunch and/or dinner bookings? if so which do you think is the better time to go?

WRT to tipping - we tipped at all the DLP restaurants (for good service) and when we were in Auberge we tipped our waitress but turned down the photo pack - well as we were leaving ... she came over and stealthily passed the photos to us, so we tipped about 20E and got the photo pack for free :)

On our trip we tipped 10e in every restaurant as we were enjoying ourselves :) It didn't break our bank but makes someone elses day when you reward them with a decent tip. That's our philosophy anyway :goodvibes

I just tried to book and was told I could get a 2:15pm slot but the characters would only be there till 3pm. So what happens if you have a 3pm or 4pm slot do you not get to see the characters.

Please has anyone booked the later slots?

We've been there when we and another family were the only ones left - this was about 16:30 when we finally left. Most of the characters were there; the mice, Ariel, Snow White and Ariel's prince and the kids got to spend a lot of time with them.

This image was taken at 16:22 in April 2009 (SW spent a lot of time chatting with my daughters):

However, Disney may have changed policy since then ...

Thanks for your reply Scott. I really can't understand it and am not sure I believe the CM, although from the 8th the meal package does change.

But the main reason to book is for the princess interaction. Who would book a 3pm or 4pm sitting just for the food and no characters?

Please has anyone been in the last month or so and had character interaction after 3pm?

my friend always books for 2pm and definitely gets the princesses as you say what else would be the point in booking

Thanks.

We have booked for 6pm at the moment as the park is open later that day. They did have 2:15 available so I might give them another ring and hopefully get a different CM.
