A Few Questions About SeaWorld Packages

We've decided to arrive in Orlando a few days before our Wilderness Lodge reservations and spend them at SeaWorld. My questions are about tickets and packages.

We're going to stay in the Springhill Suites Seaworld. Right now the only packages I can book for our time period are the 5ticket one and eat free. Neither appeals to me. I really want the kids enter the parks free deal which right now ends at the end of May.

Is it likely that the "kids go free" offer will come up again in September? If I do book the "eat free" package, would I be able to switch to the "kids free" package later? Finally, are packages really worth it? Seems like I could book the hotel pretty inexpensively and just buy the tickets separately, especially if I get the "kids go free" promotion separate from a package.

Sorry for all the clueless questions!

Unfortunately, I can't help at all with the predictions of what SW may offer in the fall. I'm not sure anyone can, as their offers vary from season to season (and aren't always repeated from year to year).

What I can tell you is that yes, you CAN price out the difference between the package total and a separate hotel + tickets total and see what comes out best for you. You will get the same onsite benefits at the Springhill Suites whether you book via a SW package or the hotel separately (free transportation to the parks, free Quick Queue passes, etc.) so there's no need to book the package versus building your own getaway.

For our Christmas trip, we saved a bundle by booking the package, and it had the exact components of what we wanted (hotel accomodations with all the onsite benefits, unlimited admission to SW, unlimited admission to Aquatica, and free dining one day at each park). On a future visit, if the pre-bundled packages didn't quite fit our needs, I wouldn't hesitate to book at the Residence Inn direct with the hotel and purchase our admission and meals separately.
