A Few Questions about Annual Passes?

We now have two trips on the books for 2016 and it seems as though purchasing an annual pass will make more sense for us (cost is about the same plus dining discounts). How quickly do you have to activate an annual pass upon purchase? For instance, if I buy it today and am not going until March, will I be able to hold on to it until March? Or will it be activated before that? Obviously, my main concern is FP+. We WILL be staying on site in March and I want my 60 day FP+ window. Is it best to just buy the tickets we need for that trip and then upgrade to AP once we arrive?

I don't think there's a time limit if you buy a voucher the longest I've held onto one myself is 9 months though.

As far as FP goes I just put my voucher number in the system and the made my fast passes at 60 days. Then just activated and picked up my annual pass when we arrived

If you pay all at once you have a few years to start the AP if you do payment planes and it may be only Florida residents can only do this it starts right away. You can call Disney and they will be very happy to tell you for sure

I always feel like I get more accuracy from the hive. ;)

And thanks for the info. :)

Without a Disney resort reservation, you can make fastpass 30 days out. No limit on how long you can wait to activate the AP.
