A few prayers if you can spare them

My uncle is retired military but has been doing military contract work in Kuwait for almost 2 years now. We just got word that he has had a heart attack over there. My aunt was with him. They said they are afraid to cath him there because if he gets into trouble, they just don't have the equipment to do anything so they are flying him out to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. My aunt is on her way there (flying) but couldn't go with him since its a military transport and they will also be flying wounded soldiers from Iraq on the transport. His son, who is in Ramstein will meet them there. He flies Black Hawk Helicopters and is to be deployed at the end of March into Iraq.
This is my moms sister's husband and my absolute favorite aunt and uncle. If you could take a minute to send up a prayer that he's okay....and another for my cousin as he gets ready to go into Iraq soon, I'd appreciate it.

Ramstein is a great military facility. As soon as they can get him stabilized, I'm sure that they will fly him to the states. Prayers said for a quick recovery.

I think that once they get to Germany it is a 6 hour difference. It's been a while since I had to calculate time differences. It's possible depending on the severity of your uncle's health, your cousin could possibly postpone his deployment.

That's what I was thinking as far as postponement, but truthfully, I'm not sure he would. He grew up military and joined after college. Its in his blood and he takes all this very seriously. I'm sure his dad's health will be a consideration, but I don't think Sean would take a postponement unless he thought it was an absolute necessity. This will be his first helicopter mission. He was actually special forces before asking to go to pilot school for the Black Hawks. He was such a wild, wild kid...we never thought he'd live to see 18. But OMG, to see him in that uniform and see what kind of man he turned out to be....well, it just makes me so proud of him. Thanks Tina for your kind words.
