A few planning questions for Feb

Hi

We (myself, MrsBadger and MissBadger) are heading to DLP for 4 nights in Feb (11th -14th) and have a few questions if anyone could help

1. Are the closures always absolute or do they sometimes get done early ? (IASW is down as being shut while we are there)
2. Are the restaurant closures listed anywhere (I emailed customer services but they couldn't help) so before I ring I thought I'd check. Mainly interested in Walts (closed Mon/Tue?), Agrabah (closed Mon/Tue?), Auberge (open every day?), Inventions (open every day?), Cafe Mickey (open every day?) and Restaurant Des Stars (?)
3. Do you know if there is anything planned for Valenties day ? Specifically if there is a character brunch at Inventions

We are there at the same time.
AFAIK the closures are absolute, although they have changed to keep open thunder mesa riverboat landing as the railroad is still closed for the investigation. I know that Inventions, Auberge, Cafe Mickey and Restaurant des stars will be open the whole week. I think Walts and Agrabah will be closed some of the times, but the reservations phone no should know.
From what I have found, there won't be much on for Valentines day, but the descent of the stairs is on as it is a Thursday so I would poss expect some characters to have Valentines (vaguely) themed clothes. I hope there is a brunch, please post if you hear anything about that as we are just planning a regular meal at inventions on Valentines day.

The closure dates are inclusive so they won't open early. Walt's is normally closed Mon/Tues out of season but the restaurant reservations line will tell you exactly whats what.

Nothing special for Valentines day (it's not a big thing here like in the UK).

I am surprised there's no Valentines stuff - they celebrate lots of other stuff thats not particularly French

I read yesterday on a Dutch forum, Marie will be at the park on the 14th, and Duffy in Valentine's outfit!

I'm hating my boyfriend now, for not wanting to go on the 14th haha!

All sounds very interesting, we're also there from 11th to 14th. Would be great to see Marie as daughter absolutely loves her.

There should be a Valentines Brunch at Inventions on the 14th unless something has changed... I am less sure about one on the 15th but since you are leaving on the 14th that doesn't matter

Yes, there will be special characters in the park for Valentines including Marie and Duffy and there will be a special cavalcade on the 14th There may be some other surprises as well; however, not positive about those yet :\

Marie is a rarity, she was out last time because of the Prince, wonder if he's over then too or if it's the start of having her here permanently

I don't know if they do have the Marie suit on site as last time I heard it was flown over along with many others at great cost

I wonder if there will be characters like the 3 little pigs, the 7 dwarves, lotso etc etc again then as well

Ok, finally made the call and it's as I suspected (these are for lunch)

Agarabah - Closed Mon/Tuesday
Walt's - Closed Monday Tuesday
Blue Lagoon - Closed until mid March
Silver Spur/Auberge/Innventions/Res de Stars - Open every day

I asked about something special at Inventions on the 14th, but nothing happening so will have to see when we get there. The California Grill might be doing a special menu but she wasn't sure

So it looks like (staying at Davey Crocket so doing evening meal @ home)

Monday S/Spur
Tuesday Dunno as doing Buffalo Bills that night
Wednesday Walts
Thursday Auberge(or Inventions if something comes up)
Friday Dunno

We did Agarabah and EoS last time so they are both in the running

Last feb we were there for the 14 th and there was a character meet and greet on dlh mickey and minnie were in special costumes !! I also think beauty and the beast were there in the Evening for meet and greet but I'm not 100% sure on that though ?? Hope you have a good trip xx

Yep they were, it must have been great to see the Beast as he is so rare these days

Hi Phil, thanks for finding out. We're planning on doing Inventions on the Thursday either way so we'll book for after the park has closed and keep our eyes open for any special brunch when we're there, we can always rebook. We are also doing Buffalo Bills on Tuesday. Going to ring and book on Sunday so I'll let you know if they know anything else. Not long now
