A Few Pin Questions

We are leaving for WDW on Wednesday, and I have a few pin questions. I am just getting started with pin collecting.

Is there any way of knowing in advance if there will be new pins released while you are in the parks and how can you know where to find them.

Are some pins only available in certain areas (resorts vs. parks)?

What are the CM Lanyard series pins I've been reading about? Another poster wrote that she went to pinpics to get a listing of new lanyard pins, but when I tried to search for them, I couldn't find anything.

And how do you know what's new and what isn't?

I know you can trade with any CM but have many of you traded with other WDW guests?

Okay, that's a lot of questions. I didn't mean to get so long. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Yes. The Dumbo mystery pin released yesterday was available only at Port Orleans.

What are the CM Lanyard series pins I've been reading about?

Lanyard pins are a series of pins that were released thoughout last year. They can not be purchased at the parks. You have to trade for them with CM's that have them on their lanyards.

No new lanyard series pins have been released. Some rumors have been circulating that new ones will be released this summer but nothing official has been released.

And how do you know what's new and what isn't?

By checking the sites listed above.

I know you can trade with any CM but have many of you traded with other WDW guests?

I traded with other guests and CM's on my visits last year. Just becareful of the traders at Downtown Disney.
