Still getting used to my new camera, but thought I'd post a few of pics of our road trip during spring break. We drove from Michigan to Savannah GA, Jacksonville/St Augustine Fl and Pigeon Forge TN.

I also really like the S pattern from the headlights.

That's got me thinking. It might be interesting to blend a night photo and a day photo, taking the light trails from the night photo and putting them onto the day photo. I wonder how that would look.

Most of our time in Jacksonville was spent in my aunt's backyard Unfortunately you can only squeeze so much into one week. That's why I'm already planning 2weeks for next year!

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I didn't get to try any of the shots that I thought I wanted to. There's always next time though. I just get more time to practice between now and then.

Was in Savannah at the end of Feb but did not see the location of the second pic. Where was that located? Obviously down near the waterfront with the cobbled street. Would have liked to stay longer and do some photography but was only there for a few days before my son-in-law left from Ft. Stewart for Iraq.

11290 - that's exactly where it was, down on the riverfront. We didn't get to spend as much time there as I had hoped to either and I didn't get too many pictures as both ds's had their cameras out and DS7 was "mom... mom.... mom..." ing me to death. It was fun though. DH and I plan on going back just so I can have some time to shoot.

I'll probably go back also although probably only one time. It is a nice city to visit, see and photograph but don't think I would like to visit on a regular basis. Wife still giving me crap about not knowing who Paula Dean (sic) was when we went to her restaurant.

On a side note, did you go on the bus tour of the city? We took it (takes about 2 hours - $17 to $20) and it really is pretty nice. Winds around through the city parks and historic house area. You change drivers about 3/4 of the way and the second driver we got was both informative and hilarious ! We almost stayed on at the end just to listen to him but it was getting late in the day and we needed to get back.
